I love life and I live it daily

I have a "live and let live" attitude as long as u bother no one. I am well read, employed, very funny, and exercise, and listen to music in my free time. I'm not the average male in that i have never been to a strip club, have had maybe 25 women in my life, have never had any deceases and really would rether be alone unless i can find some one who appreciates the same.

I'm a very supporting and passionate individual. I tend to lean towards keeping the excitement fueled in a relationship. I'm retired and on an average income but I'm beginning to move into building a new entrepreneur venture for extra cash to provide me and my potential partner with additional options in entertainment.

Have liked sailing when I lived in Chicago, racquetball, volleyball, astrology, plus motorcycles as a teenager, and classic car shows. Also love animals and nature. I have lost about 25 lbs. since the 2011 photos were taken, now down to 185.

I am one of those folks (how many are we?) that diverted from the norm, not taking the cow path that so many others followed without even thinking, but trying instead to carve out my own way, to try and see life as it is not just as I wanted it to be.

I am a very hardworking dedicated person and I try to live a full and fulfilling life. I laugh often and am very optimistic. I think my smile is contagious :) I have three adult children I really love, between ages 24-29: two older sons and youngest a daughter. None are married and all live out of state.

I am a lifetime learner, having earned to 2 degrees, including an MBA. I love to travel, with Europe my favorite since I lived and worked previously in The Netherlands for 5+ years.

I am a happy go person. Little things make me happy. I have to enjoy what ever I do in work or play. When it comes to friends they should be able to accept you the way you accept them. I used to live in Dallas 76 to 86. Moved to El Paso and life took a left turn. Moved to Denver/Boulder and saw my kids graduate from CU. My daughter wanted to move to Texas to continue her teaching quest. So here we are. I like my work which has been around autos. Been doing this from a young age thirteen. I am from a big family so it is important to have family functions for a good part of the Holidays.

I've always found these exercises in self-description a little hard to pull off. On one hand, I'd like to present myself in a good light, on the the other, I don't want to be perceived as selling something as I don't believe people are commodities. I'm a reasonably fit (could be better) middle aged guy who likes to ski and travel. I think there's more to life than acquiring things and then dying. I know that every relationship regardless of how long it lasts is a valuable exchange on many levels, and has the potential for emotional, spiritual, and intellectual growth. I like that sentiment, but I'm also a grown-up and don't like to play games around relationships, sex, etc. One of the perks of being an adult is that you get to do what you intend to do. It can be a challenge sometimes to open ourselves up. No one at this stage in life comes without any baggage at all, but I try to pack light. Hmmm......maybe we should just meet and you can tell me. This is tough because I've spent many years if front of classrooms full of students and have learned they didn't pay tution to learn about me. What I know is that I find each day exciting and can't wait to get out of bed when I awaken. College/university professor and administrator for a lifetime. I receive high scores on irreverent humor and unconventional ways of thinking. I work out about 5 times a week and place a high value on physical and mental health.
