I am a kitchen designer who enjoys cooking and special restaurants. There are so many wonderful people out there and I know my soul mate is among them.

I am retired from a very fulfilling career as a librarian with the state and federal governments. Family is very important to me. I have a couple of kids and grandkids living in the area. I do volunteer work during the week and strongly believe in service to others. I enjoy having a cup of strong coffee along with a good book, either fiction or non-fiction.

I love going out & seeing the world whether it is Paris in the spring or the Sidney harbour. I believe you have to find time to laugh. I believe if you dont find time for yourself & what ever it is. laughing in madrid, holding hands on the mississippi or great theater tickets then you will end up bitter & i dont want to end up bitter

I miss having a special someone to share life with. Cancer has left me a widow too young. I Have been a widow for three and a half years. I am ready to move forward with my life and see what else it holds for me. I hope to find another "love of my life". I know life is sweeter when shared. I have learned how to love and be loved. I know what commitment is, how it feels and how it works. I am finding a new rhythm to life as a single person again. The dating scene has changed in the last 30 years; trying to get up to speed with the internet dating arena has been both fun and challenging.

If you have looked at my pictures, you see a hat on in several, what's weird is I don't wear it very often, only for pictures.. I had trouble finding pictures of myself, since I am behind the camera all the time. I am a freelance photographer, most commonly wildlife and nature. I have the patience to spend hours driving the back roads looking for " A shot ". I travel a lot, with my children and grandchildren all living in different parts of the Southwest. My choice of travel is driving.. Road Trips are a big part of my life. Every day is a gift, I am passionate about enjoying every day, it would be nice if you did also.

I'm a 57 year old guy (looks 56) 6'-1", 190 lbs, HWP with athletic build with dark brown hair and blue eyes. I have an advanced degree in health care and work in the health care industry. I was voted best looking in high School, although I need to caution you that was 40 years ago. You will have to judge for yourself what 40 years of work, children and stresses of life can do. I work hard and play hard and lead a very active life, but still enjoy the quiet time of sitting around the fire place with a glass of good wine and good conversation. Bowling, playing cards and watching baseball are not my favorite things to do, but sometimes board games can be fun with the right person. I love to dance and also enjoy almost any outdoor activity. Walking, riding my bike, golf, snowshoeing, and sitting by the lake devouring an ice cream cone ranks high in my world. I sometimes watch TV, but would rather be moving than sitting. I do like to play bridge, cribbage and other card games. Traveling is one of my passions, be it road trips in the U.S. or exploring other countries. I love play days with my 4 year old grandson, who thinks his Grandmother is rather silly.
