I came to Minneapolis six years ago to help care for my ill father. I hadn't lived here for 50 years, and haven't made as many friends of either sex as I'd like to. I'm well educated at Ivy League schools; had great careers in Boston, Washington and Los Angeles; have been travelling extensively to rebuild a business helping wealthy visionaries who want to change the world, rehabbing houses in NE, and marketing information products on the Internet since my father died.

My wife Anna passed away in February of 2010. I spent a lot of time reflecting on the glories and joys of love: Cuddling on the couch with a good movie, changing diapers when the most of the poop had been decorated on the wall next to the crib - Scratch that, cleaning the poop off the beautiful babies face. My goodness, what seems like a horror then is an absolute hoot now.

Love is random. You don't realize you're in the middle of it until you have that epiphany - You can't stand to be without her. Ultimately, love is a miracle. So easy to share your most intimate feelings with the one you love - My goodness, love is the most ultimate position of trust. Just hold tight, tell the truth and feel the beauty.

First of all - all about me in a few paragraphs! I am a kind, generous, loving person. I have two wonderful boys, who are 18 and 20, who mean the world to me.

I had a great childhood. I was born in southern Minnesota and grew up on the North Shore of Lake Superior. My Dad owned a sporting goods store that I worked in for many years growing up. During the school year I was very active in sports and the outdoors - but what else to do on the North Shore??? I still love to be outside. I love hunting and fishing. I love 4 wheeling and working on my land - making roads and trails, and planting food for the turkeys, grouse and deer.

I have been truly blessed with athletic ability. Most sports come pretty easy to me, and I still enjoy working out and playing some sports - mostly golf now. Athletics and being physically fit is - and always has been - a big part of my life.

I have many interests besides sports and the outdoors. I feel just as comfortable at a black tie event as I do in a pair of blue jeans in my garden. I love to camp at the Hilton, I hunt regularly for really cute shoes and I fish for compliments on a regular basis; there is only one thing I sweat for (you figure it out) and while I will skip the appetizer, you can plan on me ordering dessert!

Life with me will never be easy or uncomplicated, but it will be fun, it will be exciting and it will be fulfilling. Laughter is as important as breathing, and I'm very passionate about...everything. If it's not worth being passionate about, it's not worth doing.

My life is an open book ( ask me anything) and I wear my heart on my sleeve. I grew up on a farm so as a consequence I love animals and the outdoors. I like to dig in the dirt and walk in the woods but I also like to dress up and go out for a night of dining and dancing. I am a gourmet cook but I also like brats and beer. I like to dance, ride horses, bicycle, watch videos, garden and visit with friends and family. I am able to strike up a conversation with anyone so I can be to left on my own at any function.
