I'm a jeans and sneakers guy(but I can dress up and I "clean up well". I'm a life-long New Yorker(raised in Brooklyn) but lived in L.I. and Texas for school. Family is important and I'm close with my younger brother and my parents. I have two teenage kids who live close by.

I'm outgoing and energetic, but love being lazy on the weekends. Vacations can be non-stop running(Tokyo and Kyoto; London; LA and San Diego; Toronto and Montreal) or hanging out in Mystic, Conn. or the Amish Country.

I'm a die-hard NY Yankees fan(born a fan), as well as Giants and Knicks-I think all three are giving me gray hair.

For the past 18 years I have been working for a global bank on the trading desk in marketing/sales. I am very involved in my work and I enjoy what I do even if it does take up a major part of my day. On weekends, I enjoy sports and roaming around the City. I enjoy taking advantage of all the wonderful things the City has to offer - museums, restaurants, theatre, different neighborhoods and, of course, Central Park.
In the summer I spend much of my time in the Hamptons visiting friends, family and especially my three nephews. Playing outdoor sports is a favorite pastime, particularly tennis, jogging, cycling and kayaking.

I've learned that a life shared is far more satisfiying that living a life alone, though I have many friends and activities that keep me busy and happy. I write poetry (just had some poems accepted for publication), paint watercolors, learning to tango. I enjoy most of what NYC offers: museums, theater and concerts. But I also enjoy getting out of the city and smelling the roses.Have been to India, Turkey, Galapagos Islands, Alaska as well as Madrid, Costa Rica, and the Grand Canyon. I live on Roosevelt Island but in winter you'll find me in Vero Beach in Florida or traveling. In Vero I'm part of a group that meets on the beach every morning at dawn to practice Qi Gong, one of the Chinese energy exercies.

Grew up in the city and have commuted here for culture for years - when I discovered R.I. I realized I could live here more permanently.
(It was a thrill to walk into the Met and realize it's was now my neighborhood museum! )

Chamber music keeps showing up at the top of my list of cultural activities, but also opera, ballet, dance, live theater, film... the Ecuadorian film festival at Instituto Cervantes was fun in July... museums and galleries... I love it all.

I trade commodities and futures (oil, gas, Euros) from time to time.

Educated with degrees in Philosophy and International Business, a docent at our local museum in Vero Beach and a photographer for non-profits that bring yoga to cancer patients and survivors.

Clean up pretty well but *have* been based in Florida for a couple of decades.

A quote I have always liked goes like this: "The happiest heart is the one that beats for others." This pretty much states how I feel. Meeting a nice lady with whom I could relate would give me an enormous amount of satisfaction. I am also known by all my friends and those with whom I work, that when I say something...it is meant without any question.

Reading thru profiles, I noted almost everybody is looking for chemistry. What is that? Well google search uncovers there are 5 chemistries - we're so comfortable, laugh like crazy, so much in common, so complementary, and (the always fun) sexual. I have had a few great long term relationships in my life where I feel lucky to have had all of them.

Is it a chapter life? The 3rd (and final?) chapter will undoubtedly be with someone fun, happy, upbeat, and romantic. Someone who shares a deep "joie de vivre". I am not a newbie to this on-line dating thing, having been a successful trail blazer in this medium when it was first introduced (back in the day of the dinosaurs 15 years ago).

I believe one of my best attributes is my energetic and very positive outlook (see highland game 7/2011 and jumping pic 7/2010). The name comes from the fact that quite often when going up the stairs, I take them two at a time. I like where I've been. I like where I am. But I am even more excited about where I (we?) am going.

I'm fortunate to have a very good balance in life. I have 4 children, all young adults, who are really good kids. Two of them live in NYC, one is in college and the last one, who was adopted from Vietnam, is about to go off to college.
I have my own tax consulting practice with a great client base after spending many years at a larger firm.
I've also been very active and healthy, from years of marathon running, including qualifying for the Olympic Marathon Trials way back in 1980, to just staying in shape now.
I enjoy traveling and get to do it fairly often.
I can be a very devoted partner, affectionate and caring. Now life finds me single and I'm looking for a person to create memories with.

I have multiple interest. Physically fit, primarily Bikram yoga and Salsa dancing. Studying to become fluent in a second language, Spanish. Love traveling, exploring nature and music. Movies, museums, plays and dining are part of my social fabric. I have a good personality that's engaging but not pushy. I get along well with people in general.
