I am a feisty, fun, young at heart people person. God has blessed me with a wonderful family, especially my teenage son. I am looking forward to several years of busy parenting responsibilities including high school football, drivers ed, and college prep. Recently I have realized, though, that my kid mostly needs me as a resource and I want to pursue my own interests and relationships more. I have been on my own for a long time and I come with very little baggage. Life can get lonely without someone to play with, laugh with, and talk to.
Most activities interest me and I love adventures. I am truthfully not a great athlete, but I value the benefits of exercise, so I walk, ride my bike, and practice yoga when I can. I am challenged by cooking interesting and healthy food and love to dine out often, too.
My son has helped me learn to love sports, in fact he says I now qualify as a fanatic! We watch the Cowboys and the Rangers faithfully and other sports as time permits. I DO NOT like motorcycles and have no interest in NASCAR. Rap and hard rock give me a headache and I have not felt the need to go into a night club in years.
My work as a nurse and nursing professor keeps me busy, but I keep it in balance and have learned
