I am a simple complex man. How's that for an ambiguous statement? But it's really true. I am simple in my needs/wants (as most of us are) and I love complex (read deep) subjects. I find this kind of yin-yang relationship in many areas of my life. The kind of relationship I would love to have is one that illustrates this in many ways. For example, I really thrive on fun, silly kind of stuff (i.e. I don't take ANYTHING seriously) while at the same time underneath I take EVERYTHING seriously. I consider myself fairly self-aware, open to change and new experiences, and also self-expressive. I think I know how to give others the space to be themselves. I've had my share of baggage in my life but thru a lot of hard work I've put it all in the back seat (where I can get to it quickly if it interferes in my life but stays out of the way most of the time! :-). So I am pretty much drama-free and extremely easy-going. I posess a lot of talent in my field of expertise and I am also very bright and very much want that in a partner. I consider myself to be fair, thoughtful, dependable, grounded and with very good boundaries. I absolutely love my profession and I get a lot of room to express myself in very satisfying ways.

I am actually having a hard time getting started. Today I was talking with my fishing buddy and long time friend about relationships. Neither of us are in one, but he doesn't want to be. He has a good life, excellent career and fine health. The problem is, he is depressed. It has been years since he has had someone special in his life. That does not work for me. There is nothing more important than being happy. This means something different to everyone. For me, happiness is having something to look forward to. I do want that special person. If I am in a relationship, I do not cheat, control, manipulate or ever make the woman I am with feel bad about herself.
I am an artist, but I make my living in the security industry. I am also a licensed State of Texas Auctioneer( yes, I do the fast talking yammering ).
The Auction business does not interfere with the security business. There is typically one live auction a month. At least 5 times per year, I will organize or call a benefit auction for someone in need or a charity. These always mean more to me than the pay day auctions.
One thing I don't like is typing "I" so many times in this article. But it is hard to get away from when you are talking about yourself.

I'm at that point in my life where I ready to travel the world. To see the world with someone you care for is what it's all about. I love music and play in the a couple of orchestras in my spare time. I love to work out, run, and am trying to get back into tennis. Mixed doubles would be fun. First of all let me begin with my pictures, all recently taken in January of 2012. The last 2 were taken July 7, 2012 at my home. No photo editing of any kind what you see is who I am, I do not post pictures taken eons before. Just consider it good genes and a healthy life. I do take care of myself which includes mind, body and soul. I believe in a higher power and truly blessed in so many ways, not a work out fanatic but know the importance of exercise. I have direction in my life and a "can do" attitude. I treat individuals with respect and want the same in return. I truly always consider the phrase, "never judge until you have walked in their shoes". The "2 C's";;; communication and compromise are a must in any relationship. It is not important to me to be right, but we consider each others thoughts or view points and compromise if needed. You know the phrase dynamite comes in small packages! I am big on making my man feel appreciated and loved and yes I do have a tendency of PDA, so if you enjoy being a king I am your queen!

I am a physcally fit individual ( a spinner predominately) who exercises 5-6 times a week.I am not necessarily looking for a workout partner but if you enjoy it, let's go. I am not a fanatic about working out; otherwise , I would train with a certain Russian I know or pursue Cross-Fit.

I spend as much time as possible outdoors (even' in the summer) - mostly playing golf or on the range. I am not a hunter or fisherperson-except for little white balls. (I do carry a ball retriever but it folds up- an ego thing). That may be unusual for a guy living in TX but it's not a philosophical choice- just don't do it. i

I enjoy a good laugh with my friends , mostly at my expense , and my family.

Since my children have all finished their educations (finally) , I am interested in finding an physically and mentally attractive, fit , smart , honest woman with a sense of humor (who isn't?) for friendship, travel in TX and elsewhere.

I've built a successful commercial real estate development company and sold it a few years ago, built a 15, 000 ac cattle ranch and sold it, too ... played polo and was a member of a national title winning team ... co-sponsored an Everest expedition written about in National Geographic ... climbed the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere ... sail, scuba dive, play golf and tennis ... now I just enjoy my life traveling for fun, adventure and new experiences ... I am a definite type A personality with a gentle inside and a protector of those dear to me.
