. Where do I start! Not being immodest, but it is hard to write down what you think of yourself. A tendency to overrate ourselves. “Great looking” (maybe just easy on the eyes), in shape (I can see my feet standing up, ) Honesty and communication, , , well they are on top of the list. Relationships go nowhere without those traits.

Humor, I like to think I have some. I don’t smoke, but a fine cigar along with a single malt scotch on the beach or at a resort once in awhile sure improves my humor. I’m a professional, comfortable wearing a tux as well as hanging out at a clothes optional beach. I‘m at an age now when I can say, “yes dear!" without diminishing my manhood. I do find it somewhat amusing when someone sends me a flirt, but yet never looks at my profile! At least type "your interested, " it's more personal!

My real family all live in Florida - Orlando, Clearwater, Lakeland - but I have a great extended family (i.e., friends) in the area too. I enjoy all kinds of music, but my favorite genre is the blues - BB King, Buddy Guy, Joan Armatrading, Kenny Wayne Shephard, Janiva Magness, Susan Tedeschi, Albert King, Joe Bonomassa, Keb Mo.

Ethnic festivals, wine festivals, and dancing are some of my favorite activities. (Dancing is "free-form", but I love it.)

Community service, public health, antiques and fine arts, theater, current events, aerobic exercise, books (mostly history and politics), the New Yorker, pinot noir, travel near and far, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Downton Abbey, baseball (love the Nationals), biking, music (from jazz to country to rock and roll to classical), staying close to my good friends and family, and a lot more.
My favorite saying is from Edmund Burke: "He makes no greater mistake than he who does nothing because he could do only a little." My second favorite saying is "Life may not be the party we hoped for -- but while we are here we might as well dance."

I'm down to earth kind of person who is calm and shy until get to know you better.I'm helpful, respectful, faithful, loyal, romantic, and honest. I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, went to HighSchool and college to the University of Minnesota. Moved to Alexandria, Virginia and met my husband and had 3 children. My husband passed away 4 years ago. I am working for a CPA firm full time and hope to retire when I meet the right match with the hopes of doing some interesting traveling. I am a vibrant senior and stay pretty much on the move. I am in excellent health and have grandchildren that also keep me very young with their different activities. I also enjoy doing different things such as long walks in nature areas. I have not been dancing in a long time but would like to start again with someone special. I always enjoyed dancing and I also feel it is great exercise. I have been working for the same CPA firm for 39 years in Alexandria Virginia and due to that it shows that one of my values is that I am a loyal person. I am also a kind and a generous person. When I retire from my full time job, I would like to do more traveling and experience different things in my life with someone special.
