I would hate to bore you by telling you how wonderful I am by attaching to my name a bunch of flattering adjectives. I am sure that you have already found this about two hundred times in all the other profiles. I believe that words are cheap, but actions speak much louder, so why bother? So, why not start with bad stuff – I am impulsive and restless at times, I can’t kill a fly and stay up way too late way too often. There is something about the nighttime that I find magic, if you will, which keeps me up working or hanging out aimlessly. Can you relate? I have little patience for flakes and fake people – those who smile while being angry on the inside, as I never know what they keep up their sleeve. How about you? What annoyed you today? And what made you weak in your knees from joy and pleasure?

My favorite activity is weight training. I go to the gym 3 to 4 days a week. It would be nice to find a workout partner. I've been retired for 16 years and have lots of free time to do most anything. Locally, some of my favorite places are Poulsbo, Port Townsend, and downtown Seattle, especially Pike Place Market. Internationally, I like Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Monaco, France, and Germany. I generally read several books a week and I like my sports on TV, especially football. I'm a graduate of the University of Washington. I retired from the shipyard in Bremerton. The bulk of my career there was as a nuclear engineering technician. Politically, I'm to the right of center, but I'm really not interested in politics, but I do vote. Currently, I don't attend church, but I was raised in the Nazarene church and went there for many years. Basically, I consider myself to be an average guy with average guy interests. I'm sort of a small town, educated, blue collar type guy.

And, I can write poetry. Here's a sample:

But even with that

My friends tell me that their favorite "Restaurant' is my kitchen, and I have lots of friends. Family & friends are very important to me.
I like to sail & ski, travel, & cook. I have a good sense of humor and can be quite entertaining. I travel a lot with my work, and my schedule can be hectic at times, but still try to take time for a little fun now & then. I am healthy, happy, & comfortable with who I am.

I'm petite, sassy and a bit unconventional. I laugh out loud without covering my mouth. Tactile, physical, expressive. Not into drama. Can you tell that I'm also direct (but not crass)? I love one on one time but also value my alone time. In turn I respect that need in my partner. I'd love to share my passion for knitting (ha ha) with you but if you're not into it that's cool. The same goes with you and if you have an interest you want to keep for your own that's cool too. I can be playful and I don't much care what people think about my free spirit. You will love that about me. I enjoy mental stimulation and like to read about many subjects. I also like a great novel. I am a caring and loyal friend who will stand by you.

I am independent thinker, which leads to lively conversations. I am interested in meeting someone in my area with whom I can have coffee, do things we both like and just in general make one another's lives more interesting. I am walking slow as a result of a bad reaction to medicine, but getting better everyday and not confined to home. I drive and go pretty much wherever I wan to go.
