I've lived in Alaska most of my life (Fairbanks, Anchorage, Juneau). I try to keep the humor through the good times and the bad times. I'm a hard worker, willing to try just about anything. I've been successful in achieving my goals, and I continue with the new ones. Next goal is retirement.

I enjoy cooking, reading and writing. I am a HR/PR Administrator. Love traveling. Been in Alaska for five years. Also have lived in Idaho and California. Not much for partying, although; having been a hippie I have done my fair share. Daughter at university but no longer in my home. Lonely.

Solid science background, but left that career path early on to live in the woods and learn fundamentals. I've been a saver, not a collector of toys. I could retire now, but I've developed a niche business where I use my brain and I feel as though I'm making a difference in helping people. Quality time means ever so much more to me than material wealth. I travel primarily to bike, hike, and cross-country ski, e.g. France and Estonia last winter to ski loppets with Bavarian friends. I keep very fit (although I'm not addicted to exercise), drink in light moderation (mostly good wines and hoppy IPA's), and take my nutritional supplements. I haven't eaten red meat in thirty years and I hate soy beans, but I grill a mean Sockeye. I'm told I look and act fifteen or more years younger, so maybe I've made a couple decent choices.

well Lets see i work come home dont do the bar scene, like to go out nice dinner once in awhile, maybe a movie once in a while, low key, go to church almost every weekend, and sometimes in the middle of the week too, also able to have a diverse amount of things that can get my attn, tend to be more or less stable or predictable but also able to be unpredictable just for fun,

I am an easy going liberal romantic. I believe in helping others and trying to make this world a better place. I enjoy keeping up on current affairs, knowing what is going on in the world. I like to read, (( have very eclectic tastes in reading). My outlook is "the cup is half full" I try to continue to fill it. I like strong women that want to share an equal partnership. I consider myself a social liberal and a fiscal moderate.

I am a daughter, friend, speech-language pathologist, teacher, wife, lover, step-mother/grandmother, widow, Christian/Lutheran, seamstress, photographer, pet-mom to cats, dogs and birds, and probably more. The Myers-Briggs calls me an ISTJ . . . strong on the “I”.

I love to lead worship at church, hike (or snowshoe) our area trails or beaches with my dog in all kinds of weather looking at every little thing, sit and watch the wildlife from my windows or the beach or on the mountain, sit with one of my cats in my lap as I read, watch a movie or work on my computer, like to visit family, like to watch baseball, football, the weather channel and a few other programs.

My favorite musicians are Arlo Guthrie and Jimmy Buffet, but I also like music from the 50’s on up if it’s rock or bluegrass. Classical is good; jazz not so much.

I’m a homebody, but I also like to travel especially to new places. I don’t like flying, but it’s the only way to get there from here. I’m not real fond of the water either, but, it, too, is the only way to get there from here. and, yes, I know travel usually means something other than a car . . . especially from here . . . and I can deal with that. I also know flying is (supposedly) safer than drivin

I love the outdoor's, hunting and fishing, and seeing the changes of the season's.

I work and travel a lot but I'm home quite a bit as well...it'd be nice to meet someone to hang out with and see where it goes from there.

I have a daughter that lives with me about half the time.

I usually spend an hour or two on my days off hiking in the woods around Juneau.

Other than that I'm at work or at home.

.may i go out fishing either from the beach or boat for king salmon..hike the trails beachcomb..i work 5 am to 2 pm weeekends off..im usually home after work if not i go though the stores checking out the sales...don't drink much at all 8 beers in the last 2 yrs.not into the bar scene.travel back and forth to wash.state mostly..looking.....same job for the last 30 yrs. so closre to retirement..drop me a line if your interested............

I was born and raised in Southeast Alaska and always return to my home state. There is something to be said for living in a state that offers so much beauty, distance and freedom.
