I am a thinking, caring, deep-hearted person who lives by old-fashioned values of trust and trustworthiness. The way people treat each other is important to me, as are open, honest communication, playfulness, and respecting another's different point of view. I am good at meeting people where they are and knowing I can't change anyone, only my attitude towards them. As much as I love the English language, (and sometimes feel I'm the English Police!), I'd love an editor, in my personal life, someone who loves the language and the meaning of the words. I also cherish the unspoken words between people, the lovely gestures of kindness, a glance, a hug, the ebb & flow of oceans, forests, mountains, meadowlands, all the simple pleasures of life fill me with wonder and amazement. I look for ease in communication and those things that words cannot express.
I came to Alaska when Gov. Hickel made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Though trained in the biological sciences, I worked in communications, administration and hospitality. I am at ease whether it's black tie, or building/lighting a campfire, lead a holistic positive, lifestyle, and practice daily prayerful meditation.
