I am a country boy from Nebraska. Lost my wife of forty-five years to cancer in April 2010. I have four sons-three living and a beautiful daughter who raises quarter-horses in Kansas. I have ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Retired from US Postal Service. Veteran paratrooper. I guess I should say I have a big family because they are all over six foot tall. Tim, my oldest is 6'8" weights 300 lbs. He was drafted out of Nebraska and played pro football for the LOS ANGLES RAIDER from 1988 to 1991. My twin sons are both Engineers. My beautiful daughter raises Quarter-horses in the Abilene KS area. I belong to many clubs-Elks, Eagles, Moose, VFW and America legion.

I enjoy variety of interests and activities. I like wearing golf shorts and polo shirts and hit the links when possible. Enjoy all music (except RAP) and like mystery novels andtrade/professional reading. I love sports-TV and live. I work to live...not live to work.

Family is my passion. And yes the two children in the pictures are mine. They are 13 & 11 and are great kids and also fun to be with. I have joint custody but they live with their Mom. I also have an older daughter who lives in MD and has a great husband and two great children. I am very blessed! I also enjoy outdoor activities and traveling for fun. I am recently retired or was it retried. LOL. Not sure which anymore. I am a short, stocky plain looking gent. I am told that I have the ability to make people laugh. I am a first generation American and having served in the military has shaped me into who I am in life. I am a Vietnam veteran. I grew up in NY and have lived in Colorado for almost 25 years and AZ for the last 17 years. Tend to be a very low key person but will not be dominated by my partner. Have had 3 long term relationships, but have never been married. I like motorcycling, 4 wheeling, trivial pursuit games, movies, most music (except rap/hip-hop) and a sports junkie(either attending an actual game or watching on TV). Prefer wearing jeans/shorts and t-shirts to getting dressed up. Enjoy traveling when time and money allows me.

To know me is to know a little bit about my background. Starting in high school when other students were attending football games, myself and three or four other people used to hang out at what were the original "coffee houses" before they were called "coffee houses" along Sunset Blvd. in LA. The main one was called The Fifth Estate where in the basement the 1st underground newspaper was published: The LA Free Press. We were the youngest people there; the rest were the left over "beats" from the 50's discussing people like Jack Kerouac, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and Allen Ginsberg. Other places of interest were The Garret and The Ashgrove were you could listen to "original folk music" as well as meeting many interesting people. I later went to school in San Francisco where I lived in Haight Ashbury; at one time I lived down the street from Janis Joplin. I had the opportunity to meet, see, or know so many of the incredible figures of that period of time in US history.

From these and many other experiences I wanted to be involved in an occupation where I could make at least a small impact on making this a better world: I chose education and always worked in low income areas by choice.

My passion in life is to take the remaining time left and enjoy it to the fullest.I want to live and love again, maybe a different kind of love from my youth. (many times that was lust not love) I don't know what i will find, but I know it will feel better with the right companion. I lost the old me the last few years, and I am determined to find this gregarious, funloving, generous, active and happy person again.

Busy raising my 2 children and running my own business. Need to work in more personal time with a special someone. Is that you?

I am looking for someone who shares some of the same interest and brings new ones for me to try. i am an honest and caring person who is looking for someone with these same moral qualities. I do not play games and don't want a "player" in return. Honesty is the foremost quality I am looking for. i am a bit old fashioned, in that I belive in the "little things", like opening a door for my date and sending that special someone flowers for no reason. I do enjoy the outdoors and find it very relaxing. I like to go camping, fishing or just hiking to see what new part of nature shows up. I do hunt and like to target shoot. I am comfortable staying home cooking and watching a good movie(especially with the right person). but I am equally comfortable going out for dinner and dancing (must admit, that I am a bit out of practice). I am not much for sports bars except to watch football and enjoy some hot wings and of course a cold beer. Family is very important to me. I keep an open mind and am always willing to try new things. Ideally, I would like to find that "special someone". If you are an honest female with like qualities and pride yourself in being upfront and true to your word, then we have a good beginning.

I am a former Marine who is Honest, Sincere, Affectionate, Passionate, Fun Lovine who lives each day to its fullest as we never know what tomorrow might bring, but above all a true gentleman. Yikes, you mean I have to talk about my feelings. Boy this is tough...in fact, I'd rather eat ground glass, or run through a swarm of killer bees with honey in my hair, but here goes anyway.

Ok...what makes me good as a potential partner? Well, I'm always willing to listen, and I'm always willing to be convinced. And even when I can't be, I still want to make it as easy as possible for someone to at least make their case. After all, if you can't be reachable, then how can you expect the other person to reach out to you. After all, if you can't reach other...what's the point? Right?

This one will be easier. What makes me passionate in life, or what makes me want to get up every morning. Well, with the exception of the eight years I spent in the service, and then ten years with an airline, I've spent my entire life trying to make companies that will allow me to do what I love most...and that's drive airplanes and helicopters. So for most of my life, I've never worked a day.

I will watch some but not much, unless it is one of my grandchildren participating then I take a great deal of interest. I feel that dancing on a regular basis is almost necessary. Also being able to sit down and have a long conversation concerning many aspects of life, history and literature.

I am pretty easy going (for a female). I put my family first I feel that this is the most important thing in your life. I am self sufficient, have my own home and vehicle and can pay my bills, lol. I enjoy being with my friends. Like to barbecue go shopping or just hang at home.
