I am a blue collar manager who likes the outdoors and seeing the state. Love dogs and my Jeep. I love to travel the outdoors but I also like to sometimes just snuggle on the couch with a glass of wine and a movie. I believe I can be closer to God by sitting on a mountain top or a lake at sunrise than I can by sitting in a church on Sunday morning. I am conservative in my thinking and my politics but don't push either. I can enjoy a rodeo one day and a play the next. I believe knowledge enters you brain through your eyes and your ears, never through your mouth, I judge a man by his scars and not his tattoos. I think smoking is probably the dumbest thing a human being can do to themselves. I despise racism in any fashion.
I love mexican food and a cold beer. Southern style simple food. Definetely not a gourmet eater.
I like all kinds of movies, especially quirky independent films. I won't watch horror, slasher movies. I am a Vietnam combat vet and have seen enough blood in my life. Also am an avid reader.
My music taste is very eclectic, but I think the term "talented rap artist" is the oxy-moron of the 21st century.
Two things most people don't know about me: I have lived in Australia and the Philippines. And the other thing is

Fun loving, energetic lady who loves life and the people in it. Loyal and trustworthy friend who can be counted on in good and bad times. I have three grown kids who all live out of state, so I visit them when I can, but they rarely come here due to the heat and their busy lives.

I love to sing and am in a community choir of 90 people that performs for charitable events around the state and sometimes country and world. We are the "Sounds of the Southwest Singers" and can be found online. Will be singing the Star Spangled Banner at the Diamondbacks game on March 23 at Peoria Sports Complex as well as a couple more regular season games.

Would love to travel now that I'm retired and free to do so. I have a truck but no trailer yet. Hope to get one of those little airstreams some day or a little camper but have a tent in the meantime. Love to camp and enjoy the outdoors. Have a dream to visit all the National Parks and maybe baseball fields while there! So I need to get going.

I am very active, I run, work-out, love to cook/bake, write poetry, and yes, I still write letters to friends and family weekly! I loved to read, go to the movies (love action movies) and I have a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do.I love hockey, football, baseball and occationally "watching "ultimate fighting"! I used to take classes in "ultimate fighting", great work-out and great way to protect yourself!I also love just staying at home and watching the games on tv.

Most of my friends would call me quiet. Not in a shy way, but more contemplative. Have wit and humor. I am going to photography classes. Long ago I was pretty handy with a Minolta SLR. Life is too short and you need to make the most out of it. I enjoy being with my family and friends, But also like to spend time with that special someone who enjoys a pinacolda once in a while or getting caught in the rain. Someone who enjoys going to amusement parks be it Disneyland or Las Vegas. Even just driving around this beautiful state of ours. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, boating, jet ski, quads but I also like to dress nice and go out to dinner or the theater. Or even just staying home for the evening and making a nice dinner for my special someone and cuddle while watching a movie or listening to music.

I've enjoyed my retirement with hobbies like gardening and making jewelry. I love the outdoors and traveling , especially to Western Canada twice a year to visit family and friends. I am a Godly woman and that is foremost in my life. I've been told by my best friend who I live with that I am very funny and laugh a lot. When I was younger I participated in a lot of sports and I still love to watch sports. Right now I'm interested in friendship and having fun and where that leads - who knows.

I once stayed up all night dancing during Carnival in Trinidad. More likely, though, I spend time closer to home, going on day trips to explore Sedona’s gorgeous red rocks, Scottsdale’s charming shops, or Cave Creek’s Western art. I’ve recently taken up oil painting as a hobby again, though I am certainly not on par with Leonardo da Vinci. But I do admire and try to emulate Bev Doolittle. My first love, however, is the mind. The study of the Mind-Body connection, and holistic health practices. I spent years working as a psychiatric nurse and am now a supervising one. There is no greater reward than working with patients and helping them create change in their lives. I have always been amazed at the power and endurance of the human spirit. I also have an affinity for books – anything from, Change Your Thoughts- Change your Life to Successful Internet Dating. At first, I may come across as a bit quiet, which you will soon learn is simply introspection. Once you get to know me, you will see that “still waters run deep” (like my art, I suppose). You want to discover that in me as much as I want to discover that in you. No matter where we are – down the street or investigating the architecture in Greece – you’d rather be nowhere else.

Semi-retired. I am currently self employed in the construction industry, after serving thirty years in a public safety position. I consider myself easy going and versatile. I enjoy going out to dinner and a movie as well as cooking dinner at home and just relaxing. Pretty much just like to enjoy life.
