I've recently moved back to Phoenix after living on my 35' sailboat on the beach for 2 yrs. It was a great experience, and I do miss the beach, but love being back in Phoenix! I have been a self-employed medical rehab therapist for 12 yrs. I love helping people & really enjoy my work. Some of my past-times include organic gardening, thrift-shopping, reading, raquetball, hiking & the movies. Whenever I can get to a Phoenix Suns game...I'm there!! I also like all music, especially country & jazz. Would like to meet someone that likes hiking & bowling. Two of my goals in 2012 would be to learn country line dancing and visit some of the AZ wineries.

The cool thing about this time in my life is I have the freethinking and idealistic mind of the very young with the maturity to balance this with empathy and wisdom. To me age is just a number. I have never listed age in my dating criteria.

I am a fun free spirited woman who loves to laugh and has never been one to live by conventional rules. Beige is NOT my color. I'm emotionally open to new friendships and new love. Happiness is something I value very much. I learned to let go of past disappointment a long time ago.

In fact as a writer I get a lot of my humorous material out of what many might call the “horrors of life.” For instance I used to work for Toyota in sales. We had to pay a quarter for a cup of coffee. To steal a “free” cookie from our service customers was an unspeakable infraction of the rules. We had to stand out in the heat of hell like a camel for hours, but at least it kept me at my perfect weight of 120 pounds. Yes, this could be considered one of my more “challenging” jobs. Now you may be wondering why I find this all so amusing and unusual so here goes…

I love the outdoors, work hard, enjoy yard work, theatre, fishing, concerts, music. Have a strong faith in God and actively worship. Love to read, watch movies and dance. Enjoy cocktails, but not a heavy drinker. I volunteer often for different groups: habitat for Humanity, AES and was a CASA for 9 years.

I like to get out and do things, explore new places, see different people and areas. At the same time, I can be a bit of a "homebody" and do a variety of things around the house and yard. I enjoy camping (use to sleep on the ground but now I would rather have a camper) I have fished and I don't mind baiting the hook or cleaning the fish as long as I get to cook and eat it. I have gone horseback riding in Northern Arizona at campsites. I don't mind cleaning the stalls.
