FICTIONWRITER6R, 63
I've been a writer-journalism, travel, PR, most recently fiction-for most of my professional life. If a week or two passes (unusual) when I don't write, I'm cranky and restless. Very bad for relationships, as I've discovered via marriage and divorce. I'm currently at work on a couple of projects and also caring for my 100 year old mother, she doesn't live with me. At this point in my life, I've come to the conclusion that I'm happiest living alone. That said, I can also be pretty congenial. I have a studio apartment at the beach the size of a shoe box, but I've thrown a number of impromptu dinner things--sitting around a coffee table a la student days--and love cooking ethnic foods. After writing all day--and especially Fridays--I'd love to have an interesting/congenial friend, chemistry would be nice too, to go have a meal, a glass of wine, see a movie, etc. Great conversation is always a plus. Everything else really depends on what clicks. If things do, I'll cook dinner!
Beyond that, who can say? I enjoy creative, liberal, involved people. I'm spontaneous, very much appreciate a wry sense of humor. I read a lot, just finished Rushdie's biography.
