My passion is happiness, I start each day being grateful. I'm a self-sufficient retired widow, I love swimming, walking, all God's children, animals, art, good food, reading, etc. I have good friends and two little dogs, but I must say it still gets lonely on a Saturday night. I am a retired scientist. I did Defense related applied rersearch for about 40 years. For about 15 years I also renovated abused houses, selling some and keeping others as rentals. My rentals are my primary retirement income. I don't do much of that anymore because my back is not up to the lifting. But I still like "tinkering" with stuff. I have a one-eared Cocker Spaniel named Dallas, who is the sweetest dog in the world. He has a very happy personality. For the past few years my hobby has been repairing musical instruments.

I am a Realtor that specializes in Condo conversions and have been selling Real Estate for the past five years. I also have a local gymn membership here in Ocean beach where I workout. I enjoy being active and taking advantage of living in the beach area.

My interest in life is to experience all that is possible. I am somewhat reclusive, but will mix well in most social settings. Money is of no interest to me except as necessary to support a reasonable life, and people who focus on it turn me off. I leave well within my means and disdain those who are in debt from extravagant living. I am politically conservative and avoid relationships with women who are liberals. I have always lived by maxims of truthfulness and honesty, so I refrain from describing myself as tall, dark and/or handsome.

I'm a people person love to have BBQ's in the summer for a few friends. I try to stay busy doing all kinds of things. I enjoy shopping, yard sales, or the swap meet. Love antiques and my cats. I work with the southern Ca. siamese rescue doing adoption interviews, and sew for them also. I have old friends some go back to high school. So you know I couldn't be to bad a person. I don't like being alone all the time and it would be nice to have someone to share a nice dinner with or a sunset. Someone to do things with and just enjoy this part of our lives.

I still don't know if it's a good thing or not, but I'm basically a really nice guy. I care about other people and I'm not always looking to put one over on someone. I am not a wild and crazy guy, although I've done some pretty wild things in my life. I love listening to music, especially live music, I love theater, ballet and just about any live performance. I like to read and usually go through 2 to 3 books a week. Most of my reading is done while I'm on the treadmill at the gym. It makes what would otherwise be a terribly boring hour tolerable. I love good food and occasionally manage to cook something well myself. Basically, I enjoy being with people like myself who are simply trying to have some fun and stay out of trouble..
