“A day in the life of” can include a walk along the bay followed by a leisurely brunch, or a hike at Mission Trails (just went for one yesterday). I’m not an expert kayaker or paddler, but I’ve enjoyed kayaking in Baja & Beliz. Catching local dance and film festivals is a plus—just watched this year’s Oscar nominations for best short films. Love week-end getaways...love 'em. Like a recent architectural tour of mid-century modern in Borrego Springs.

I'm semi-retired, but still spend a few days in my psychotherapy practice. My lifestyle is pretty healthy. Enjoying a tasty wine or micro-brew, and eating at San Diego’s great ethnic, Thai and sushi restaurants are favorites. Equally fun are cozy evenings at home: listening to music, discussing the day’s events, reading out loud, watching a foreign or indie film, and, of course, exchanging massages.

I’ve weathered the storm of change as relationships ebbed and flowed, careers flourished and failed, children were nurtured and set free on their own journey. Moved to San Diego in 2011, have made great friends and teammates but that special person hasn't shown up yet, I guess nobody really "shows up" it's a little more involved than that but I'm willing to expend some effort on the search. I have children, they do not live at home and wouldn't let me take the grandkids when I moved lol go figure!

I love giving, and I love givers. I am a real "communicator" (which means I can be chatty), but do not like to stand out in a crowd. In fact, my friends often laugh at how shy I am, yet have the ability to appear otherwise. If I had to choose between a wild party or a small get-together with a few friends, the wild party would always be a distant second. I like people, but I'm not big on crowds.
I get bored with complacency. I don't like pushy or sarcastic people. I prefer someone that will give directions, will offer to take a photo for people at the next table, or be patient while walking behind someone elderly or frail...
I love music, and always have it playing – Pandora at home and Sirius in the car. Some of the artists/music I like: Motown, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Van Morrison, The Beatles, Elton John, Michael Buble, Enya, ABBA, and Aretha. Oh, can’t forget Frank Sinatra.

I live to laugh and have a good time. I have high values and love the man that is old school. My dream guy opens the doors, flowers, mystery surprises, and fun unexpected delights. I enjoy watching most sports, especially football. I love white wine and great conversation. I haven't traveled much, but would love to. I should get that passport!

So, a little more about me....I've been in San Diego for the last 10, but have spent the majority of my adult life in Orange County. I still miss it there. Naples, Italy was my home, but Orange County is my home away from home and family keeps me in San Diego. I have a 36 year old daughter, a 32 year old son and honorable mention to my 1 year old dog. I try to visit my family in Italy as often as possible, which averages out to be every couple of years. I was recently there in April for 10 days with my daughter and every time I go back, its like I have not skipped a beat. I'm pretty simple in the things I like. I hang out with my friends for coffee, check out the latest movies and just like to be in good company. I'm very comfortable in new situations and like the idea of discovering new things to do in town.
