I am a teacher who will be retiring sometime between now and January 1, 2014.

I am a competitive person and love playing just as much as winning (but I prefer to win). My skill level is modest; however, my enthusiasm is stellar. To be honest, I may have the worst hand-eye coordination in the world; hence, golf is not one of my games (but I drive a mean cart).

Live theater ranks high on my night out activity list. College sports, especially football, are another of my passions. Years ago I played some linebacker for Alabama. Now that I live in Louisville, I pull for the Cardinals. I am sure that wherever I move I will adopt a “new” local team.

I love to laugh....have a standard poodles that I'm crazy about....love family.....love playing games .......sitting on the couch watching TV...taking walks....sharing stories....my home is decorated like an island.....love travel....especially the carribean.....I am a laid back kind of girl...an old hippie at heart.....got peace symbols hanging around...just looking for some one to share time and have some fun....make a few memories....

I am single married once, no children, I share my abode with one fat cat and two reptile's I know that having reptile's are a bit strange but I like them. No they are not snake's!!!

I am a man with a deep appreciation for romance, laughter and the individuality of others. I call my four children the four points of my life's compass. I cherish each moment I get to spend with them and I know that they are, to this point, what keeps me feeling young. Italian food and a good steak are my idea of favorite foods.

My friends would say I am loyal and dependable. I love to laugh and find my fun in a variety of places. Seeing the people I care about smile James me happy. I am retired from law enforcement and live the good life in Louisville KY. My only child is grown and I am free to travel.
I love to cook from simple to more complex dishes and paring the right wine makes it even more special. I like spectator sports and they often take me tomlexington, Cincinnati and beyond.

looking back on what I have learned this far and how my perception of what i want has changed in the last several months. First, I have learned that if you(not me)post old pictures you will not get past, or even through, the first date. Second, "about average" or "a few extra pounds can mean ANYTHING. Third, there is something to be said of a man of some maturity. I have developed a great appreciation for men of my own age category for the first time in my life.
