I have a zest for life and am young at heart and enjoy sharing a good laugh. Family and friends of all ages are very important to me - especially my grandkids who live in another state. Enjoy movies, plays, music; cooking in or finding a nice hole-in-the-wall restaurant, playing cards/board games; traveling; wine tastings.. I work part-time and enjoy the job but would give it up for the right reason. I do not like drama, playing mind games, or negative people . I'm a genuine person who cares for others' feelings.

Very outgoing, independant, and fun loving person that believes in living life not sitting on the sidelines. I love music, cooking, and anything around the water. I tend to see the best in everyone and every situation and always see the glass half full.

As I experience the "later years" in my life, still employed in a job that I enjoy, would like to meet someone new to share the funtimes with. Traveling, dancing, dining, boating, horseback riding, snowmobiling are funtimes for me, as well as being with my family & friends.

Just retired from my chosen field[legal] but just bought a R/V park in Ms. which I am having a blast renovating and learning a new business. I have been divorced for over 10 years and my 2 kids that are still at home {part time} are getting ready to leave the nest. A fact that doesn't make me happy. I love spending time with them doing lots of traveling, and being amazed at how they are growing up and becoming good little people. If you looked at my pictures you know I am in a wheechair, but I probably stay more active than most. Love going to plays, traveling. LSU sports and a big Saint fan.Like trying new resturants, , an ocasional movie or spending time at my camp on the Tickfaw River. Looking to make new friends, someone to do things with. As my kids tell me "Dad you are old and ugly.. but you haven't been old very long" So I am not looking for a life partner or to find a soul mate only for a fun persons who wants to do things!

Finding someone to share my life with is important to me. She does not have to be perfect, but has a real desire to be in love and make our relationship succeed.
I enjoy going out for dinner or cooking with someone I care about. In regard to us eating out, I enjoy the company of friends and family members being with us. It's important that my lady is someone I am proud to be seen with.
Retirement allows me the freedom of being able to pick up at anytime to go explore new adventures with my new love, old friends and with family members.
I am a perpetual optimist. I look for the best in people and usually find it. My feeling is that "life is too short", so I want to enjoy myself to the fullest. But not alone.

I am something of a dichotomy: my father was an engineer and farmer; my mother was theater people and an artist. I have always had a lot of both, although I make my living as an engineer. I play guitar, and sing sometimes, and have a piano in the house which my son plays, and me too, but only by ear. I do woodworking, and just today bought metalworking tools. I own a real fixer-upper house, which I will someday fixer-up. I could use someone with management skills, taste, and a whip, ha ha. I can fix most things, and love to do so for pretty girls, sometimes to my sorrow. I still have dreams and am working to realize them. I live in Baton Rouge, work near New Orleans, and my son lives with me every other week. So, I am very mobile. My life is guy-clean, as opposed to girl-clean. I am mostly casual around the house, and I get dirty. I clean up real nice though, and know how to put on a tux, if need be. I drive a truck, if that matters. So, I haven't much time to meet anyone. Im a slightly quirky 55 year old, (actually 25 with 30 years experience), old fashioned romantic who loves music, (especially classical, slow "bluesy" jazz, solo piano & 70s rock), movies, (except horror/slasher types), kissin & cuddlin, writing, photography, long walks in the country on a cold day, long drives in the country on a hot day, time with my son, cooking and kitchen gadgets, DIY projects, Green Bay Packer football and St Louis Cardinal baseball, a great cup of coffee, traveling, fishing, boating (when I can), audio/video equipment, computers, a beautiful sunup or sundown, the mountains, the ocean, the northern woods, watching a good comic, the Christmas season, someone who realizes that to truly "make love" has little to do with sex, and I’m still dumb enough to believe in romance.

Ive been called a "contemporary renaissance" man by friends due to my many varied interests. I can sit and watch a documentary on the string theory of the universe, followed by a Bugs Bunny cartoon and enjoy each of them equally. i enjoy the outdoors, i. e. camping, hiking, working with horses, the beach, white-water rafting, yard/ landscaping, and dance-dance-dancing. i do enjoy traveling to the different parts of america, taking in all the sites the areas have to offer...anxious to visit mt. rushmore; the badlands of the dakotas; a sadona, az sunset, and numerous other sites here in america... have traveled to a few countries; costa rica, nicaragua, mexico, and numerous islands in the caribbean...

I am a working full time. I would like to retire in the near future. I am a little shy at times, but quite chatty other times. Most of the time I am happy and cheerful.

I am a very low key and conservative person. I enjoy life and enjoy helping people. My passion is bowling, traveling, mingling, going out to eat, going to church, watching tv and reading.
