I like to dance, enjoy a variety of activities such as fairs, festivals, networking, openings, dinners, movies, theater, gardening, some sports, the social scene to a degree, etc., but okay with being at home too. I can be pretty flexible with lots of things. I will cook if someone doesn't mind doing it with me & I don't mind cleaning up. It just doesn't make sense to cook for one. I'm just a gentlemen looking for company to have conversation, dance, go to theatre, movies and just hang out and have fun. I know that does not sound like Mr. Excitement but I have a lot of fun and so does the person I escort when we are together. I am old fashion i.e. opening doors and tending the chair when she sits or stands, getting her little gifts and flowers or cards for no special occassion and just enjoy surprising her. I enjoy being as active as I can, and am always looking to try new things and learn as I go. I am nearing retirement, so I'm starting to look forward to that next phase of my life, although I will probably work at least part time for a while. I do hope to have time (and money, lol) to do some traveling, since there are so many amazing places to see. I was born in New Orleans and have lived in the area my whole life, and of course enjoy the wonderful music, not to mention the food, which is why I'm always trying to lose those last 10 lbs. I do go to the gym as often as I can, and am looking forward to learning golf, again. I have a young granddaughter, who as you can imagine, is the new love of my life.
