I hear form men who say I viewed them or "liked" them when I haven't. . if you are just looking around DO NOT JOIN. It is terrible. I am employed in academia. I have three children. The children are nearly launched, and with some recent employment adjustments, I am experiencing a paradigm shift that includes summers off, long winter vacations and the freedom to devote time to my own interests and pleasures in a way that I have not experienced since I was in my twenties.

One of my biggest pleasures is cooking. A great Saturday includes shopping at two or three markets to see what looks good, taking it home to figure out what to make and who to invite over. If while cooking I can watch a good old movie starring Bette Davis, Gregory Peck or the like, I am in heaven. Of course, if I can do all of that with someone else, it is even better

I'm recently retired from the Dept of Health and Human Services where I was Executive HR Assistant and Coordinator for Security Clearances, working with the Dept. of State. I also worked as a contractor for NIH in the Bethesda area. I'm a music lover and enjoy dancing, eating at casual and more formal restaurants; also like quiet dinners at home. I am a widow with 2 grown daughters ( a lawyer and an engineer) and 4 beautiful grandchildren. I recently moved to Silver Spring, Md and am ready to explore and make new friends.
