I'm 83, still work in small, home-based business. I'm very active, play "Pickleball"
competitively with those 20-30 years younger. I'm thin, 185lbs 6'. I attend daily Mass
at 6:30 AM, my day is 5:30 AM - 9:30 PM. I make "pictures"; in metal, and my work
is displayed in restaurants all over the KC area. I am a widower looking for someone
to share my life.

In 1977 I was dating a girl while I was in school. She was from Washington in her first year of law school and I knew she must have had a boyfriend back home. So one night I was dropping her off at her dorm and she told me that it hope it didn't upset me but that she had a boyfriend back home. I told her, "Listen honey, I have seen the Royals loose the pennant the last two years in the last inning of the playoffs against the Yankees; nothing you can say is going to break my heart." Although it still goes down in the lore of famous male comebacks (I still have friends that remind me of it), I'm not that way anymore. I think.

I've got other stories that help explain why I'm not married, but you don't want to hear them now. My friends describe me as attractive. They're polite. I cry at funerals even if I've never met the deceased although I don't care for weddings. I enjoy sunrise more than sunset and I don't like daylight savings time: it is supposed to be dark at night.

Most poeple I meet I like and when I don't I'm always embarrased when they like me. The only thing in life I've never had the opporntunity to do is to reply to "Time flies like an arrow" by saying "Fruit flies like banannas."

Honestly, I am really easygoing and optimistic. People tell me that I'm well-liked by male and female friends alike...and I guess I'm kind of proud of that. I am caring, patient and easy to laugh. You can count on me. I don't play games. One thing I'd like to share with you is about my dog, Dooley. He is the first dog I've ever owned that will really watch television. Of course, his favorite is Animal Planet--he goes bonkers over horses--but he also really enjoys football, American Idol, etc. He's a great pal.

I would like to add that I was in a motorcycle accident in July and been recovering, so if you wrote me and recieved no response thats why. Sorry. Just a country boy with country boy values. I would also like to add that I'm not naive or have never been off the farm or out of the county, but I was born and raised on a farm and have those wholesome values and work ethics. MY WIFE DIED 1 1/2 YRS AGO. I LIVE IN A 2 BR APARTMENT WITH 2 POODLES. ONE BR IS MY OFFICE. I SELL CARNIVAL GLASS AND COINS ON EBAY AND AT A LOCAL ANTIQUE MALL. I DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EXCEPT SIT IN THE OFFICE LISTENING TO BOOKS ON CD's I HAVE 2 DAUGHTERS, BUT ONLY SEE THEM A COUPLE TIMES A YR. MY MOTHER IS STILL ALIVE AND SEE HER AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. I USED TO FISH A LOT, BUT NOT IN THE LAST 2 YRS. AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO BE FRIENDS WITH AND VISIT. I DO NOT LIKE SPORTS OF ANY KIND OR REALITY SHOWS. I LIKE WESTERNS AND DETECTIVE. I LIKE OLD WESTERN/ ROCK MUSIC FROM THE 50's + 60's.

I travel for a living. I want to experience life, not observe it. Being able to talk freely and at real levels, not just sports scores and politics, is very important. I am Catholic with no caveats. I am an active member of my parish. My children are adults, my daughter lives with me while still in college, along with her dog and my cat. However, I am not looking forward to being alone all the time when she moves. I guess you could say I am a people person. Crowds don't bother me if the reason is good.
