I've been told that I have a sense of adventure. This revelation surprised me at first, but actually I think it's accurate. I like to travel - will go by myself if no one else can be with me. I had a 40 ft. RV for a couple of years and drove it myself. Backing up always presented a challenge! My bucket list includes a hot air balloon ride, soon, I hope.

I grew up in the Midwest and became disenchanted with cold winters, sleet and snow. There were tradeoffs when I moved here from a sophisticated city, but I have never looked back. Since many gentlemen have inquired as to what my profession was, I will tell you. I was in the medical field all my adult life and took care of our veterans in two VA hospitals. That wonderful experience has taught me extreme compassion, empathy and that it is OK to mourn those who have died. I feel very strongly about our veterans getting the best care we can give them-Congress, are you listening?

I am widowed and believe there is definitely more in life for me to experience. Love learning about spirituality not necessarily religeon. like to go to the movies, dine out or at home. want to do more travel just need a partner. won't travel alone.

Im retired from the CIA and it has been somewhat difficult to not have any work anymore. I was doing some contract work for them (overseas) after I retired, but that has dried up now, so Im not working at all anymore. Im an easy person to get along with. Like to add that I'm a bit of a news junkie.

I love the outdoors, golf, tennis, walks ect. I enjoy going to the movies and dinner, theater and the Ballet. I excercise daily and keep in great shape. I enjoy traveling, cruises especially.

I enjoy my career, but I know when I come home that this is where my priorities and true happiness is centered. I have been given many great opportunites in that my job provides me with adventure, travel and meeting new people. Meeting wonderful people who don't take themselves too seriously and have great self esteem is the ultimate interaction with humanity for me. I lived in Syracuse, NY for 35 years and moved to Las Vegas to escape New York taxes and the snow! I practiced nursing in New York in Syracuse and New York City and recently retired from nursing here in Nevada. I am the proud grandmother of one very special little girl who is 7, going on 20. She is a challenge and a delight. We have traveled Europe together and it's always exciting. She lives on the East Coast so we don't get together very often. I am a transplant from the East coast, and although I love the climate here (except for June, July and August) I miss my New England roots. You can probably guess that I love going to California to the beach, and exploring the towns and cities along the coast. It would be more fun with a companion who has like interests. I am not a member here so can not respond to a message. I am not ready to commit funds to this effort as to date I have not encountered anyone with similar interests.
