I enjoy doing most of anything, the movies, long rides, weekend getaways, sightseeing, canoeing, visiting family out of state. taking a ferry ride into NY, seeing plays or musicals, music concerts, antique shops. Just to make it easier, I do not like to go to the beach and not interested in camping. Hiking is fun, but the hotel needs to be close by. Roughing it, in my opinion, is "room service is late!"

My two grown sons are very important to me and live far away. I am always MOM though. And I've added some photos from my teens, late 20's (with a young son), 30's, 40's (with long and short hair), and 50's. I've just not changed much at all and grateful for that. I was and still am a very active person.

I enjoy being outdoors and being able to just observe as well as participate in some activities. Whether it's simply grilling or hiking to a spot on top of a hill overlooking great scenery or flyfishing a nice stream or river, experiencing things outside of cities and buildings relaxes and refreshes. As a writer, I've become very observant of everything around me and I think I now have a greater appreciation for quite time. It's finally sunk in that I don't have to be accomplishing something 24/7. That said, I would really like to take the time to get to know someone to see what happens without a schedule or deadline to rush things.

I am adventurious and curious about life, and would like to experience the goodness that life brings with a special person. At times I live in the moment and appreciate the beauty of life, and try to think positive about the not so good times. I always strive to learn and become a better person within myself and with others. Family is important to me they are my emotional support as well as my friends, mentors, and loved ones.
I enjoy travel and each year I go on a mission trip to help others rebuild there lives and homes from disasters. What I give to those people is a touch of Love.

Ok finally I filled this out. I am a divorced gentleman, currently living in Manchester but certainly not tied to the area. I'm in the enviable position of having taken early retirement. so my time is my own (for now).
I live alone as my kids are grown, though I see them often and they are important to me. Spirtuality is important to me, among other things. I am one always seeking self improvement, though I don't always do what I know is good for me.
I do not believe shared interests determine compatibility. While I am open to most, these are not 'must haves' or must dos. I do like to cook, fine food, and easy listening music. I watch little if any TV and prefer movies or documentaries or reading. I plan on taking Tai Chi courses and joining a gym very soon for swimming. I like puttering around my property and am a handy man of sorts. There is more of course, so feel free to ask. PS I have been accused of not being punctual so I am working on that, big time, and strive to arrive early now.
