look to the past to see the future, don't make the same mistake twice, screw me once shame on you, screw twice shame on me, visionary, some college, dropped out, figured out i could do better, happiness is having something to look forward to, constantly learning, inspired by others to inspire others, not afraid to take charge, perfectionist, loyal, friend, always volunteering to help those justifiably in need, proud, funny, tough yet fragile, not easily offended, always tell the truth even at the risk of loosing a friend, don't like to play games with people's emotions, bla bla bla, etc.

I've learned that life pretty much take care of itself. If the truth be told there's nothing we can add ode subtract from it destiny. I tend to enjoy life's moments; I'm basically earnest, talkative and very direct somewhat humor

I am a retired journalist who enjoyed a productive 38 year career as a reporter, columnist, editorial writer and copy editor with a major New Jersey daily newspaper. Though no longer working, I continue to be an active writer, and earlier this year published my first book, "BRICKETTES: Tales and Poems from New Ark." I'm an avid reader and a passionate lover of music, being quite proud of my eclectic mix of records, tapes and CDs. As a music lover, I enjoy attending live performances in concert halls as well as small social venues. I live alone with my 12-year-old Beagle, Sojourner, and enjoy dinner almost daily with my 90-year-old mother. My adult daughter lives in Manassas, Va. I'm a good conversationalist, with a wide range of interests cultivated by nearly four decades in the news business, and have been told I have a snappy sense of humor. I'm a good listener and possess a people friendly personality, and believe in strong family bonds and honest friendships.

I find myself midway through life and single. I work hard and play hard. I have two children, one still at home. I love to cook for people and of course I love to eat too. I like to be outside; hike, work in the yard, or walk the dog. I like to workout; either a tough kickboxing class or a beautiful trail run (okay jog). Inquisitive with artistic tendencies. Have a passion for travel but can't stand itineraries. Enjoy courageous cuisines (literally, not as a sexual euphemism). Don't just expect the unexpected, I hope for it. Love the company of others but enjoy my solitude.

I approach most things in life as experiences to learn and grow from. I try to take lessons that hopefully lead in the right direction. :) I enjoy loose, unstructured time. Seeing where the day goes. Exploring. Variety. Though keep coming back to places, people, experiences that feel: intimate, warm, relaxed.

Hi! I'm a peacefully divorced, Christian man with two grown (30, 35) daughters, six grandchildren, and light baggage (we all have some). I've gotten past most of the drama and I've gained a healthy perspective on dating relationships from 2 marriages, divorces, and later relationships. I know what works and what doesn't. Meeting me, you'll soon learn that my youthfulness and fitness are reflections of an active lifestyle of intellectual curiosity, exercise, creating and teaching visual art, playing tennis and the violin, serving in church, and enjoying new experiences.
