40 + years from now, with the same gal as the first date .... I'm sitting in my den chair making something with the great grandkids and you walk by me and I swat your butt ! You look over your shoulder, give a sexy wiggle, and say "You wish old man !". Then the kids all help me up and I chase you around the kitchen island while they scream "get 'er kranPa" and they block you for me, and I spin you around, brush your hair back off your forehead and stare through you with a soft smile and glistening eyes. It ends with the slightest slow kiss to your forehead, one hand holding the side of your face gently, the other your hand with a bit of a reassuring squeeze. No words spoken ... it's enough of a date to communicate volumes to us and the kids.

I am a retired aerospace engineer that loves doing many things. I have been a ski instructor at Sandia Ski Area and still am, but now instruct handicapped people of all ages. In addition to skiing, I was a Forrest Service Volunteer for 6 years and have recently switched to an Albuquerque Open Space Volunteer. I also love to hike in our great mountain, but have slowed down a bit, doing shorter and easier treks so as to keep myself intact. I also like doing many other things, like traveling, visiting the wonderful National Parks and Nature's wonders. I used to camp out a lot, but haven't camped for awhile focusing on other activities. My last campout was at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, about 6 years ago. But, with a little encouragement, I would happily go camping again, if I had a willing companion. There is one more exciting actiivity that I have been wanting to do for a long time, which is taking a 3-5 day chartered rafting trip from one end of Grand Canyon to the other. Also, the charter company does all of the work including setting up camp and cooking all of the meals! Interested?

I enjoy a casual and comfortable lifestyle, and spend most of my time in jeans and a T-shirt. I can dress up on occasion, but only when I have too! I read mainly for my work, but for pleasure when I can. Last book read: The Shallows. I enjoy music, both playing and listening. Recently went to the Tedeschi Trucks Band concert. That's the type of music I enjoy. Although I saw Kevin Eubanks recently. Impressive. Yes, I like guitar players. For winter activities, downhill skiing mainly. Although I tried snowshoeing and loved it. You'll find me at the movies, or out to dinner with friends. I like movies like Inception, and Mexican food. Have you heard of Sophia's? Great food. To relax I actually like to get to the gym, or just walking along the bosque. Reading the paper at a Flying Star with a cup of their coffee is fun and relaxing. If you were to talk to my friends they'd say that I have a quick wit and a great sense of humor. No better way to relax and unwind than to laugh. I think I'd be a great partner because I have a wide variety of interests and I am eager to share them with others, share them with you.
