Warmth, sincerity, virtue, intelligence, class, education, sense of humor, good taste, attractive appearance are elements of what sparks interest in someone for me. Let's see, a little about me. I am a native of Santa Fe, a mother of a beautiful, 20-year old daughter who is a rugby player at UNM. I grew up with the mountains as my back yard, so being outside, hiking, cross-country skiing, pulling weeds is important to me. Not much into sports other than my daughter's sports. I am pretty independent and have learned to do a lot for myself. However, I am always open to whatever comes along.

I am a very active person and love to be outdoors , skiing, hiking, camping, backpacking {with a special friend, of course), gardening, etc. I also love to dress up and go to the opera or some special event.

What’s dear to my heart? I love the earth and being in nature, whether it's hiking in the mountains, camping by a lake or walking along the beach. Sitting by a cozy campfire under a blanket of stars is one of my favorite ways to spend a summer evening. I have a few acres in the hills an hour east of Santa Fe where I plan to build a little country house sometime soon for weekend retreats, writing and just enjoying the night skies. Honest and open communication, sharing deep feelings and thoughts with a loving partner, is important to me. So is maintaining my relationships with close friends and family. I have strong spiritual leanings. Meditation is a good way of getting clear and staying focused. I try not to take myself too seriously, so I love to let go of the world and personal concerns by dancing the night away. Financially stable, I have a very good sense of humor and I'm sensual (Some say "sexy."). A progressive activist, I'm working with a local group to raise public awareness and create a fairer economic and social system. I maintain a healthy diet and stay fit. People, including myself, can't believe I just turned 67! And, I believe sharing life's joys and sorrows with a loving partner enriches the journey.

Worked in rock n roll/entertainment most of life. Was at Roxy/On the Rox (Lou Adler's Club) and the Whiskey. Also 6 yrs. at Atlanta's Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom and later it was called the Agora Ballroom. Was at the Greek Theatre for a while part time. Last 20 yrs. hospitality/pr roles. Was writer/editor/photographer for state of NM magazine for 18 yrs. Also was book editor & traveled around giving talks on tourism and region related books. Retired early and doing some volunteer work with a concert assn. Love reading (am in book club), movies, tv shows, going to shows and concerts. Love animals and have 2 wonderful small dogs and may be taking on a blind fox terrier. Not majorly into sports but like small hikes. Admit need a lot of sleep becoz of chronic fatigue and fibermaygia but when awake am fun! Have lots of friends but no special man. My brother Jim in N.Y. is my best friend. Love garage sales and finding off beat stuff at consignment and thrifts. And brag on it. Don't have a smart phone nor do I want one. Do have a pay as you go. Just bought an android tablet but have no idea how to use it yet.

Happily living and loving life in Santa Fe. Loving my work in the healing arts as a massage therapist for the past 24 years. In the other lifetimes, mothered children, taught special education, and co-owned and upscale restaurant. Am passionate about travel, having been born in Brasil, raised by adoptive American parents and later found birth parents which gifted me with a whole new vista!! Life is a for sure an exciting journey and always excited to see what is around the next bend in the road. New mexico offers such bountiful outdoor opportunities to experience, and Santa Fe fills in the cultural piece as well--opera, ballet, symphonies , and sometimes Bonnie Raitt or Krishna Das.or Taj Majal. Camping is fun-- love the challenge of figuring out gourmet meals while in the woods. Have close relationships with my family and friends--and becoming a grandmother gave a whole new meaning to the word-- love--. Spiritually, I am dedicated to my Zen Buddhist path--finding it so very grounding and supportive on all levels. A sense of humor and the ability to laugh easily, deeply, and often are an integral part of my personality. And at the end of the road what matters most is "how well did you love?".....

My current hobby is dog training and showing. I have a aussie , her name is Star Bella, she is very smart and active, so she keeps me hopping. I also like traveling to show her, and I am finding "dog people " are very nice. My education and career has been very mentally oriented so this offers a nice break. This however does not take tahe place of a sharp man in my life.

Spent 32 years as a college professor-- sociology and economics.
Currently I have a computer shop that is a 501c3 operation to refurbish computers for needy folks and do general repairs to pay the rent and utilities.
