My time is largely divided between running a human service foundation, creative wood craft, reading, workouts (fairly serious), a variety of verse and prose writing projects, and, weather permitting, biking and playing at the beach. I love the water, and enjoy occasional journeys in it with flippers and goggles, preferably in the Muskoka lake country. I occasionally try to catch fish but they rarely notice. Always fascinated by the natural world, I am a casual bird watcher and student of animal behavior, our species included.

Its a pretty amazing time for me actually. In some ways, I'm feeling like I'm just coming into my own. I feel like Iknow more about myself now than ever before. Its not just about what I like but about the way I now look at the world, others, my existance. This all must sound pretty high-fallutin but what I'm trying to say is that I'm in a really good place right now. I think we all learn lessons in many ways and most of them are accompanied by pain, other wise known as "growing pains." I guess it doesn't stop at puberty, huh? ...And I for one surewouldn't want to revisit that phase ever again. My life has been quite an adventure, in a good way. I’m retired now (the house in Amherst and everything else is paid off and I’m able to relax a bit), but it’s been an unbelievable ride to this point. I was a captain in the Indian army before I emigrated to the U.S. in 1976 with $8 in my pocket. I worked very hard to become successful. I was a personnel manager, plant manager, and store manager with different corporations in my professional life.

I love to travel, and I’ve had the chance to see a lot of the world. Recently I’ve visited the French Riviera, London, India (I still own some property there), Jordan, Beijing, Hong Kong. What do I say here? Short and sweet (ha-ha)! A romantic at heart (I cry at Hallmark commercials), a very giving, warm hearted person with a good sense of humor. Add: understanding, sensitive, reliable, self-confident, trustworthy, dependable, and kind human being. I love to laugh and joke around and have the laugh lines to prove it! I have many friends made through the years (a few even from high school) but miss the intimacy (both mental and physical) of a special person in my life.

Although I am a retired educator and administrator, I substitute occasionally for friends. Years of education taught me to appreciate the cultural arts, which were first introduced by my parents. I trained to sing as a hobby (mostly church soloist work), have a catholic taste for music, live theater ( I spent some time in community theater doing musicals), concerts, home sewing, cooking and baking, football and hockey (as a spectator sport, if you please) are among my interests. In the not too distant past, I enjoyed boating, classic cars and motorcycles and would like to renew those times again. Since I've retired I've enjoyed some traveling per my 5 year plan.
