I am a mother and grandmother, medical assistant and an outgoing person. I love being with my few friends...Ive known them for 30+ yrs.

My favorite things are reading (mostly mysteries and spy stories), walking the beach, traveling to exotic/not so exotic places, going out for dinner and dancing.

I own a small business (5 employees) and work M-F, 9-7.
I enjoy what I do and I like going to work each day.

I really enjoy traveling and just recently visited India (11/11) and the Dominican Republic (12/11 and 1/12). In 2009, my daughter and I spent three weeks in China and several years ago, we were in Jordan, Egypt, Israel and Palestine for two weeks.

I like to cook and every other Saturday, during the Fall and Winter, I prepare stuff to eat now or freeze. I particularly like making/eating soups.

I don't do the bar scene; I really don't have time for any volunteerism; I don't attend church; and most of the guys that I know/knew are married, sickly or dead. Hence my involvement with online dating!

Ok here it goes...I am who I am without apologies. What I look for in people is honesty. Telling lies is way too much work...you have to remember what you said and who you said it to....like I said too much work. If your cheating on your partner...you'll cheat on me and oh by the way I will tell. I work hard all day so I like to pamper myself when I'm home. I don't eat red meat, but I'm not a vegan. I'm Wiccan...a true Hippy ( a lifestyle not a trend) Love my kitty cat. I am NOT a Mother. I have baggage thats true but it's not excessive. I have been married twice, the first ended in diviorce (he cheated) the second I was widowed ( I didn't do it). I have lived alone in the same place for over 10 years. I have two successful businesses that I have cultivated all on my own, which leaves me all the time I want to do the things that make me happy. I travel as much as possible, be it locally in New York, or as far as I can go without losing my cash influx. Money is a means to an end not a life endevour to stack it up...like the song says...you don't see hearses with luggage racks. I have never been accused for being high maintenence but I like things the way I like them.

I am a caring compassionate woman who enjoys life to its fullest. I love to find the humour in just about anything. I am loyal and honest and not afraid to speak the truth when needed. I believe that treating my partner with kindness and respect goes a long way. I am independent and financially stable. I may be found most frequently digging in my flower bed or on/near the water. I would love a partner to go kayaking with. There is a lot of water in the area and it would be nice to have a partner. I am slightly overweight but that is a work in progress and I work out at least 2 times oif not 3 a week. I love cooking and inventing new recipes which I try out on my family and friends. I have never made them a bad meal LOL! At least they are all still alive and kicking!

Love to travel occasionaly but otherwise a homebody. I work full time, enjoy people and therefore like my job (most of the time) easygoing, carefree, family very important. Like to dance enjoy country music, rock&roll and oldies

I am a workaholic at work and at home. I make most tired just watching me from the sidelines. I like to keep busy, always have and always will. I love hockey, motorcycles, drag racing, working on my home, spending time with family and friends and sometimes, just relaxing.

I am looking for an acitve woman with a sense of humor. Someone who loves family and friends and yet likes to enjoy the comforts of home. Someone who I can share my hopes and dreams and which we can support each other in our long term goals. Most of all someone who can be my best friend and lover.
