What lurks in this wilderness of the (potentially) forlorn, though most assuredly searching, is a near extinct, playful professional with a host of interests and a few abiding passions: Dining, I do well in the kitchen, french/italian bistro mostly ..will do my own reductions and even been known to wash dishes; Once was an aspiring jazz trombone player who was better, alas, at aspiring than being one. I enjoy traveling to music festivals throughout the summer:..... Hiking up (big) mountains... picnics (more food), nice wines (lush-head), theater, movies (indies and foreign.. snob) and my cat with the one good (eye).

WORK - I'm involved in the analyses of social problems and the design and delivery of programs to mediate them.. an endeavor that has afforded exposure to much of human concern and condition (which is why I drink) and have done so across domains...foster care/adoption, addictions, mental health, education, employment, developmental disability, more....

NOT WORK ..I can usually be found walking aimlessly.... through the forest... searching...for my cat. ..here kitty....here kitty..kitty..kitty

A now retired uncivil servant, longtime US Treasury lawyer, who would like other pursuits, including travel and more travel, including living abroad. I have spent weeks at a time in France, Spain and Italy and I believe on several levels that they live much better than we do, and I'd like to live abroad on a more extended basis (1-2 mos) and see if my conclusions are accurate. while here I'd like to see some more of the US and Canada. As indicated in my questionnaire I like exercise and cooking, eating and drinking, the latter 3 hopefully balanced by the first.
