I am retired military with 21 years of service. I have traveled extensively and have an undergrad degree in business with a masters in educational psychology and a certification in special ed. I am currently a tutor in a public elementary school in Charlotte, NC.

My hobbies include antiquing, reading, traveling, and doll making.

I recently relocated to Charlotte from LI NY looking for work. I am seperated from my wife of 15 years. I prefer older rock but also like classical and new age. I enjoy photography. I like backpacking and the outdoors and trying to get back in shape for the summer season.

life but still work 3 days a week as a nurse. Am into exercise, dancing and all kinds of music especially live bands. I am outgoing and chatty--easy to get to know.Love to watch football, basketball-esp. college--and baseball and even golf. My children are grown and on their own. I love good healthy food and love to eat out at healthy restaurants.

At the risk of sounding mundane, i like what most people like, waling in the rain, reading a good book, dining at a 5 star restaurant, watching a good movie, etc, etc, etc. I am however passionate about playing golf, and chess. Plus, I'm a laid back kind of guy.

I've spent a lot of time being a husband, a father, a worker bee, a son, a brother........and much of that time I've spent being who I thought others wanted or needed me to be. At this point in my life, I want to figure out who I am and be that person with myself and with others. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of figuring all this out: I am, at my core, a healer and a seeker. So, while being a healer makes for a very good partner for those who need healing, I'm looking for someone who doesn't need to be healed but wants a partner, a friend, and a lover. I am passionate about life, about my children, about our good earth and preserving it, about those less fortunate than I, and about laughter, joy, and love.

I am retired from the fire dept. here in Charlotte. Like going to the beach and mountains, but not a big travler. Have two granddaughters both live only a few miles so i get to see them often.

I love making the world a better place. My favorite place is the beach and being near any type of water (lakes, streams, ponds) relaxes me. I prefer being outdoors and surrounded by nature. In the mornings, I smile at the birds eating from the feeder outside my window...they are so comical and enjoyable to watch as they feed. Action movies are my favorite. R&B, Motown, and contemporary jazz are the best and I countrty and classical songs from Vilvaldi, and Beethoven helps me to relax. I enjoy dance performances of all kinds, theatre, festivals, amusement parks, dining out, cooking out and having friends over. New experiences and adventure keeps me growing and adds zest to life. I travel frequently and in the last two years, I have visited Japan, California, Aruba, Florida, Pennsylvania. I lived in England for four years and while there saw France and Spain too. I am smart, fun to be with, energetic and very resourceful! I love to dance and singing makes me and others happy! I am a life-time learner, and just recently I challenged friends to bowling and putt-putt. I hardly ever cook dinners anymore but I can whip up a great ethnic or fine dining cuisine if necessary! Articulate, fun loving ... But enjoy home life, good friends, all genres of music, movies, tv series Homeland, House of Cards, Duck Dynasty, Shameless and American Pickers just to name a few ... Technology, travel and reading and family, I still work full time and am still enjoying that. I have a great sense of the ridiculous and friends & family say I have "spunk" and my humor makes them laugh. NYC is my favorite place to visit, I am sure I have concrete in my soul. Enjoy the beach & mountains, travel when the opportunity presents itself. Really enjoy music ... country especially & enjoy live concerts .. I am very young at heart ... I hear 64 is the new 44 !!!;
