I like NY sports teams - Yankees and Giants. I recently moved to NC in April from GA, was born and raised in upstate NY still getting used to NC. I am outgoing and like to try new things (travel, food, places to visit and things to see). My family is still in NY state so I travel there about 4 times a year. I am independent and self-sufficient so I am not looking for someone to take care of me, but I like it when that someone does something nice to allow me to spend more time with them for example get my car washed, lawn mowed, clean the house so I have more play time. I have a stressful job so when I get some down time I need to use it wisely. I have a great sense of humor, maybe a little on the dark cynical side but not too bad. I like to go out to eat and to the movies, I have spent time exploring the parks in Raleigh with my dog. My bucket list includes travel to Italy, Alaska, an active volcano, the Galapagos islands and a few other places. I like to dance and just have fun I believe I am a good listener and pretty good at having a good conversation. Also, I have 1 tattoo on my leg, so if you don't like them, sorry.

I am sincere, affectionate, not interested in drama, and only ask for the same from you. I enjoy working out, wine tasting, a good restaurant or a movie and traveling.

I'm starting a new phase of my life and looking for someone to share it with. I'm hoping this site will introduce me to a new best friend; someone who enjoys the good things in life. I was married for a long long time. Separated for almost 3 years now. He is living his what if. Now here I am trying to figure out this dating
thing..and the next chapter of my life.

I love having fun, going on adventures, learning new things. I am easy going, kind, considerate, and have a great sense of humor. My passion in life has been helping others and giving back. I still enjoy this but now that it is my time I am more focused on doing the things that I like. I enjoy travel, photography, dancing, reading, volunteer work, and outdoor events. Family and friends are extremely important to me. Grandchildren are the best! I grew up on an island in NC and love the beach. I've been to 45 states and one of my goals is to go to the other five. My collection of shells numbers 1000 and is growing. I watch some TV but prefer to be active and outdoors. Naturally curious, I consider myself to be a life long learner and there's still subjects I'd like to tackle. I believe that each day is a gift to be lived to the fullest, good can be found in the bad and that life gives us many chances to begin again.

I'm self employed and love my work. For fun, I dance...a lot. I love salsa, all the latin dances and am learning west coast swing. I go to a lot of triangle salsa meetups and just converted my bonus room into a dance studio so I have a great practice space. I like movies, local restaurants, interesting conversations centered on ideas. I am not attracted to intolerant, close minded people. I don't support the NRA. I am not religious. I don't watch Fox news. I don't vote republican. I like stimulating, diverse, broadminded people. My only child is a college graduate and gainfully employed in a career she loves. I am an empty nester and not looking to raise any more children, though I do look forward to the day I have grandchildren. I have a wonderful Maine Coon cat and I like animals and they like me....so do kids.

Fun, laughs, honesty, integrity, family, friends, loving and caring are some important words to describe me.

I retired early, have my own business, work as much as I like, am straight-up, irreverent, and my life doesn't suck. It's comfortable - but not quite as complete as it could be.
If you are here looking for someone to be just an occurrence in your life rather than part of it - keep going.
