As a relatively new empty nester, I took a little time to adjust to a very new life and schedule and now I am ready to kick my heels up! I'm hoping to find someone to add a little salsa to my life! I'm recently retired professional with two wonderful grown married children and a grandson; I have close relationships with my children. I now have a new part-time career to keep active in my profession. I worked for 28 years at a university where I oversaw student recruitment and came in contact with many wonderful young people and their families, which made me feel hopeful about the world. (I still do!) I like to go to the beach and the mountains, travel abroad occasionally. I read novels and mysteries, sometimes nonfiction especially when my book club selects it. I like Pilates and Zumba classes, riding my bike, walking my 13-year-old Border Collie, working in the yard, entertaining and spending time with family and friends.I sing in a choir as an expression of faith, it brings others happiness and learning complicated music (sometimes in a different language!) is good for my brain. It's a great example of a shared effort that brings great results. I am involved with various volunteer activities in the community. I am a great cook, but I like to go out sometimes to favorite restaurants or try new ones. I enjoy good wine in sensible amounts.

My first experience with online dating. I have led an active fun life and have no plans on stopping anytime soon. I like to bike ride and have even walked a few half marathons. I like to keep fit, eat healthy most of the time, but I enjoy going out and having a few beers with my friends. Staying active physically and socially is important to me. Family, friends and my faith are all very important to me. I am healthy and happy and like most people I have had my share of baggage BUT now it is all cleaned out and the load is light. I have raised 4 kids and now have grand babies that I adore, however I have been there, done that and got way more than the T-shirt, so now Im ready to put me first for a change for this next season of life. Last but not least I plan on living a long healthy life so eating healthy, exercising and being physically fit is very important to me and would want the same in my partner.
