Being the second oldest of a large family, I learned to be adaptable and resourceful. A sense of humor was definitely required and drama queens were not tolerated. There was love and respect and a good bit of mischief (of which I was often the ring leader).

Few people have the great fortune to make their living doing something they are passionate about. In my art studio I taught a variety of media to students ranging in age from 4 to 77. Some of my dearest friends started out as my students. What I gained from my students is immeasurable—so many different ways of seeing things, different values, and different cultures. They also have provided many funny stories to share—ask me about the snake in the studio.

I have made some choices that have taught me some painful yet valuable lessons not the least of which is that none among us is perfect. We are human. I value compassion, friendship, honesty, humor, humility and generosity to name a few. I am comfortable in my own skin and have a healthy curiosity and can still be awed by the world we live in.

I am a seriously fun loving woman shocked to find myself on anything titled "senior". I work hard, have a comfortable home and peaceful family. I love to walk for exercise. Like being outdoors when it's not too hot. I enjoy gardening and have been known to have a green thumb, I am a decent cook and quite funny. I like to grill and drink a lovely beverage or two. I do not use drugs, smoke cigarettes or get fall down drunk. I take care of myself and really do prefer simple and casual when it comes to dress and social settings. I enjoy reading and learning new things. Museums, plays or rock n roll concerts can be found on my schedule from time to time.

I enjoy good friendships, love the outdoors especially the beach. I am a Southern Gentleman to the very core of my being. I enjoy going to the movies, and football, hunting, fishing, golf. Great cook, love to laugh, I am a touching

I am a confident person, but not cocky. I will admit I was a very cocky young man, thinking that I would live forever, and was a manly man in a mans world of adventure. The Navy took out all that bluster, and made me realize a big ego gets deflated very quickly. I spent 10 years in the Navy as a Combat Search and Rescue Corpsman. A corpsman is the Navy's medical enlisted person. I use to jump into the ocean to rescue downed airmen, or would repel onto the land to get to those men needing medical attention. I was medically retired in 88 after getting banged up. I do love the beach, and would love to spend a weekend or week, with a special person watching the sun go down, listening to beach music, sipping a little wine. I am a romantic, and still believe in the white knight on his charger coming to your aid. My armor is dented, and not as white as it used to be and I might need help getting off the horse

I'm a retired university professor (soil science) and I spend my time doing volunteer handyman work, playing in a band, serving on two non-profit boards, restoring my 1937 Ford, traveling, and spending time at a family vacation home in the mountains of North Georgia.

I practice law `and have been a practicing lawyer for 55 and 1/2 years. I still enjoy working for my clients. I have some who have been with me for over 55 years. I am a liberal. Before my wife died 5 years ago we traveled through out the world an we especially loved cruising. You know, I really just want someone who enjoys some of the same things I do, but can introduce me to things that are their passion too. I want someone who is honest and real. I'm happy on my own, but I do miss having someone to share life with. Its a shame to be alone at this time of life.
