I am a native NC girl. I have 2 grown daughters, one beautiful 2 year old granddaughter and a grandson "on the way". My daughters live in other areas of NC and I love to see them! I have been a widow for 35 months & I find myself trying to resurface & start a new life. I was on a site once before, but found that it was not working out for me. At the time, I was not ready to move on! But time has past & I realize that there is more to life & I intend to find it & live it!

I enjoy meeting people & hope they feel the same when meeting me. I have been told I have a personality that overflows. A smile is usually on my face; I am known for that! I am proud to mention that I was a Disney Character (1995-2005). It seems that when people find out about this, their faces light up which just makes me feel alive! I was Pluto, Rafiki, Brer Fox, etc.. but the one character that I just adored the most was EEYORE, the Donkey from Winnie The Poo. The ironic thing about it is that our personalities are complete opposites, but the fun I had animating him was priceless!

I love getting to know all types of people. I've traveled around the world, most recently to Burma, and several trips to Haiti where I am committed to making a change. I learned so much there. I love to read, laugh alot and listen to others experiences. I care about helping others and have committed my life to it. I come from a huge family with 8 siblings and I'm very close them all, including my parents. My dad is a hero to me, and I talk to him everyday. I love to talk to my friends, some of whom I have had since college. My friends would describe me as intelligent, selective, passionate, generous, sensitive, looking about 10 years less than my age and able to communicate deeply through music and writing. I used to play a lot of golf - at least 3 to 5 times a week for years until my kids became mobile. Now that they are getting older, I try to get out at least a few times a month. Yoga is my current passion and I can only imagine how much better my physical and emotional levels could have been this whole time had I started my practice in my teens.

I really do miss and cherish a true romantic connection on many levels.

Kind of tough to describe yourself without being just a little biased, right? Okay then, I am going to relay what Friends say..............I have been described as a Modern Southern with old fashioned values but not a fuddy-duddy. Family, Faith, Friends are very important and a big part of my life.
Somewhat of a practical joker but never at someone elses expense....Yes unlike some guys, my feelings really do not get hurt if you dish it right back (again in good humor).

I have been described as Nice to Handsome looking (I will let you be the judge since these are friends comments and they could be a bit partial-ya think!), considerate and extremly loyal.
