I am a retired antique dealer, love of course to go to flea markets and find treasures, but since I am retired I am wanting to expand my horizons. I am quite comfortable with myself, and have just finished two cancer surgeries and am about to finish chemo. This has taught me that I should
"cut to the chase" in my life, because it is to short.
I have traveled extensively, but still would like to see more, again, love the water, motorcycles, horses, and I am a serious animal advocate. Having spent 25 years with the Humane Society of the US. But I am not extreme about it all.
I feel quite secure in what I do, but dating is going to be a challenge for me.

My main passion is designing and creating beaded jewelry and there's rarely a day that goes by without me spending some time on my art. I've made baskets and handmade paper, I can knit, crochet, weave, spin, dye, sew, and do various forms of braiding and knotting. In other words, I like to create things.

I love music . . . classical, ambient, world music, light jazz, classic rock, folk, oldies, and torch songs come to mind but there are so many other genres. I studied classical piano from age 7 to college and I’m self taught on recorder, alto being my favorite.

There’s lots of other things I like . . . reading, movies, "real" pinball, air hockey, cooking, theater, photography, art galleries, antique shops, garage sales, flea markets, "As Good As It Gets", hot tubs, autumn foliage, good conversation, and animals. I have a Golden Retriever named Annabelle and loved (years ago) sharing a household with 2 cats and 2 dogs.

I have a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's in environmental science but I decided long ago that I didn't want to work in a lab and I now do computer and web programming. I occasionally sell my jewelry at shows and I have a mail order business selling beading supplies.

I am passsionate about life and getting everything out of it. Don't sweat the small stuff, it is small so it can not mean that much. Enjoy everything you can. Do what you want and don't let anyone say you can't. Life is full of surprises while we may not want them all, we should make the most of them and maybe learn something along the way.
