When I saw the Ducks appear on the field in Pasadena in white helmets and those pants instead of the powerful golden green helmets with the impressive "O", I knew it wasn't to be.

I was accepted to fly for Continental Airlines and did so for ten years with my schedules were centered around New Zealand and Australia ( love that Shiraz...) Radio and commercials and voice overs were next. An adventure living in San Francisco, then to Portland, then to Pebble Beach and S.F. again, and am currently staying in Portland and maybe with my cousins' in Oslo for a while 'til a new pl

I am a single mom with two older teenagers at home. My husband passed away in late 2007 which sent me back to work full time threw me into survival mode. My focus was protecting and providing for my children. My youngest graduates this June.:)) And I must say, for all we've been through, they have turned out GREAT !! They both now are telling me that I need a life !!! Which I think they are right !!! I LOVE to laugh.............I miss having someone special to laugh with and just do fun things with. I am a professional who likes to have fun when I am not working. In my normal days, I am very busy and responsible but I like to stop and sat down to a very nice casual dinner with a glass of wine and have a nice conversation to relax.
I work out 3-4 times a week, I like to go to a movie as well as I enjoy dancing.
I am a good planner but I would like to be surprised sometimes and go someplace I did not pick.

I retired from teaching years ago and now busily retired. I play golf and bridge several times a week. I enjoy traveling and have been overseas many times. Great experiences. Just returned from Turkey on a great trip. I enjoy having a good time.

I am enjoying life these days. I feel like I have finally found a spiritual and emotional place that includes several good friends and the community I have found in a Unitarian/Universalist fellowship.
I have a beautiful dog (Abigale) and two cats( Jasmine and Simon). They are all shelter, recued animals.

I lost my wife eight years ago and although I have stopped grieving(maybe) I still miss the wonderful companionship we had.

I practiced Social Work professionally for many years with special interest in children and adolescents. I retired about 12 years ago but returned to work when my wife died. I now drive a school bus transporting students with special needs for the Beaverton School District and I enjoy it very much.

I read a lot (history) and do some fine art photography, processing, printing and matting and framing
my own work.

I have raised my children, I am (almost) fully retired, and I am enjoying my opportunity to be in the moment, spontaneous, and learn new things. I'm a passionate, honest and committed person. I'm also intelligent and I have seen the world. I love to laugh and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, movies, music, concerts, golf, and sometimes just a nice quiet night at home. I also love to travel at home and abroad. I am independent, confident, optimistic and I have an artistic soul. Keeping physically active is important to me and I walk and work out.

I am not afraid of change, I've had several chapters in my life and I think this is the best yet. I am obstinately optimistic and I think we each have the capacity for great love and goodness. I have hope for our future, which I plan on being a part of for a long time to come.

I was born and raised in North Dakota in a ministers family. I moved out to the Northwest in the early 1970s to be closer to attend Willamette University as a music major. I later moved to Portland, Oregon and attended Portland State University where I completed my undergraduate degree and later a masters degree in counseling.

Currently, I work with very youth, adults and families as a mental health therapist.

Prior to my counseling career, I worked on trying to have a career in classical singing while I worked full time as an HR professional for a large corporation. My management was very supportive and flexible so it allowed me to be able to do a lot of performing either doing musical theator or singing with Portland Opera. Due to my full schedule, I delayed getting married until I was 40 years old when I was realized that my big opera career was not going to occur. However, I had many successes, so I have no regrets that I at least tried. I also need to interject that if given a choice to see a play, musical theater or an opera, I usually would prefer the play and/or musical which may seem a little strange. I add this, because some men are afraid that I am going to drag them to an opera which is not the case unless they

Happily retired, I have a zest for living. Life is too short not to actively participate, both by getting involved and by giving back. Love to explore backroads and small towns around the Pacific northwest. I'm adventurous, like all types of food, and consider myself health conscious. Fairly liberal, but walk both sides of the road politically. Overall I'd consider myself a 'low maintenance' type of gal who is comfortable in blue jeans but also enjoy dressing up once in awhile. Financially independent, good at organization and keeping my home well maintained.

I am very young at heart, love to have fun and have a lot energy. Love to be outdoors, listening to music, cuddling and watching movies, Oregon Coast, cooking, or just hanging.

Life has taught me to be accepting and nonjudgmental. Awe... What would my friends say? Well I'm a knucklehead, fun loving, sincere, authentic, compassionate, and available. Also I am a listener. When it comes to politics and religion, I will not debate...everyone is entitled to their own opinion, a friendly 'discussion' is great. I'm not looking to change anyone just accept them for who they are and hopefully grow together.

I can tell you that I am true to myself, I'd rather be happy than right, I have an open perspective which can lead to new or different possibilities. I do my best to eat healthy. I've been told you can see my spirit from the outside and that I have a "refreshing" view. Ha! Touching and being touched is important to me.

Being open and willing, having a big picture view is a way of life for me.... I am human and of course can get caught up in the little stuff, however not for long!

This is the hard part. I am a professional woman who knows how to play. I have a good sense of humor. Recently retired, but still working (I know......crazy!).Family is very important to me.
