I enjoy staying active, . With Spring/Summer upon us 'd like to re-discover what Oregon has to offer, Crater Lake, Sun River, the Coast, etc. I recently hiked Silver Falls, hadn't been there in 20 yrs. How time FLYS! I'm a huge Duck Football fan so look forward to the Football season. I enjoy live music, all kinds, especially country and oldies. There many more Oregon wineries I have not yet visited. I enjoy car shows, flea markets and Fairs. So much to do, but not much fun alone.

I am independent and affectionate. I am curious and like to question almost everything. I avoid large crowds and prefer the company of a small, intimate group, or just one other. I can be stubborn about following what feels right for me, and I encourage others to do so for themselves. I love all the arts and actively participate. Although not religious, I am deeply spiritual and have a rich, inner life.

Not religion, but spirituality has always been the main force and driver in my life. Living at Findhorn in Scotland in my early 20's set the spiritual tone for the rest of my life. My practice has evolved to learning how to let go on a fundamentally deep level, and then trusting my own direct experience. To wake up laughing and to go to be exhausted is ideal, but sometimes I go to bed laughing and wake up exhausted. If I were a prize fighter, I'd be a wash-up because in most situations I tend to lead with humor and kindness. I take criticism fairly well because, I think, because I am more critical of myself than most people would care to be mono/mono. I would rather be hurt than to cause others to hurt. I listen fairly well and internalize things told to me, but sometimes I need a direct clue that what's being said is not simple schmoozing but is important, which means my partners/friends/family know not to side-step me when trying to communicate; come at me head-on with the big stuff. For me, that old adage works: "The truth can set you free...it may piss you off, but it can set you free." I am politically/socially liberal and aware, but am not an activist, and I am not religious although there was a time when I once held deep Christian convictions; today I simply hold Christian values which seem to be the values of our culture.

I think life should be fun. We all go through hardships and sometimes heartbeak in our lives but I feel that we are still blessed each and every day. I love my family dearly, and that includes my step-children too. I have a deep faith in God and Jesus although I don't make it to church all the time. I used to ride a Harley....HINT HINT...and loved it. I love to read and have a 9 year old white lab named Shasta who is my baby. I enjoy gardening, love going for rides/drives...enjoy the coast (In Oregon we call it the coast because it is COLD). I have a great sense of humor and have several tattoos....Yep :) I love Duck football, enjoy photography, went rafting once and it was a blast. I would enjoy camping (with an air mattress), boating, exploring antique shops, museums or anything that's interesting.
