My soulmate and I will spend our lifetime discovering infinite details about our preferences in life and each other, so here are a few of mine to get us started. I enjoy balance in my life, finishing chores and projects helps to create time to frolic and play, whether at home or elsewhere. Balance also shows up in the food I choose to eat. Most of the time I make healthy choices, and other times I delight in not so healthy morsels, whether we cook or go out. Traveling gives me enjoyment – across town, country or world – it’s all an adventure! I value family and appreciate opportunities to spend time with them. My young grandson especially brings me joy! I consider myself spiritual, but not religious. Walking in nature refreshes my spirit, as does a good laugh, so a keen sense of humor can make my day.

I love the out doors. Living in Oregon on the rainy days(which seem to be frequent) I go for old movies and popcorn. I enjoy buying something old and giving it a new face or a different way of using them. Garage sales catch my eyes and my car automatically slows down for a good look. Meeting new people and renewing the old friendships. Love the beaches even on nasty days, that is when you find the treasures. My yard has many treasures which I love.

I am curious, intellectual verging on nerdy, active, and passionate about life, and I love good friends, food, and conversation over drinks. I love various outdoor pursuits including hiking, biking, Xcountry skiing and camping, I also like a good book, movie, or TV show, and I adore ancient history. I have a strong spiritual side and a keen sense of justice for all people and the environment. I am a kid at heart, and I love to give and receive affection. I can be pretty outgoing, like to flirt, and have a good enough sense of humor to laugh at myself. The one thing I am most passionate about is connecting people with each other and information.

I am optimistic—my glass is nearly full. I love life, and my motto is Carpe Diem. I want to seize each precious day and squeeze every bit of joy and wonder out of it. There is much in life I want to explore, places I want to see and things I want to do. I have been to South America, Africa, and Europe—but only enough to let me know how much more I want to see. Asia, Australia and New Zealand are calling me…and so many states I’ve not yet seen--but experiences—all of them-- are so much better shared. Oh, and I love my Ducks—football, basketball, and baseball. I enjoy the theater, symphony, ballet, spring training—nearly any live performance…I was a performer of sorts myself, after all—entertaining a new batch of 30 students every 45 minutes.

I am compassionate, sensitive, caring, loving, supportive, romantic, and fun. Integrity and honesty are very important to me. I am very good company—I love people and ideas and new experiences. I am loyal, dependable and levelheaded. I believe, as Lincoln said, “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be, ” and I made up my mind long ago. Hi! I enjoy life and all it has to offer. I like that I work full time. I can't imagine what I would do if I didn't. I also go to school part time working on my graduate studies. I don't think that anyone can know someone else in a short period of time. There is no way to know if someone is "the right one" after just one meeting. I am a grownup, and I do not think I can know you well in one visit. I want to know everything, and am willing to spend the time it takes to do that. I want someone who is willing to take the time to get to know me. What are your thoughts on that? Got time?

Speaking about jumping, I am a Christian...just a baby Christian, but I am learning. I love and thirst for the word. I listen to it every day on the radio. I am learning so much and one of the things is how important it is to have the Lord in everything. Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

I enjoy travel, camping, golf, auto racing, body surfing in warm oceans, live thatre, the Mckenzie river for many things, exploring new things and places and more. I read every day (well almost), enjoy cooking, a good movie and growing things. My body is still in very good working order includiing my libido and brain.
