I am a happy person who looks for the good in everyone. I am honest , loyal, and have a big heart. I like the outdoors, the beach. Rving is fun. Road trips in the car to the mountains, or just snuggling on the couch with that special person, at home with a good movie.
I once lived in Hawaii, just to see what it would be like. I lived there for 6 years. I am a very down to earth sort of gal, who loves all animals. I am here to meet some good people, have some fun, and maybe even find that special one. I want to take things slowly, just have fun and see what happens.



I like all kinds of music. Soft rock, Blues, some of the stuff now days. I like Pink, Jason Mraz, five for fighting, Bob Marley, Train, Cat Stevens, oh yes, David Gray. I LOVE Jack Johnson. Just to name a few. Please, no " beat your momma" music. lol

I enjoy all kinds of movies, except real war . They are just too hard on my heart.

My wife and I were married for 46 1/2 years. She died in January of 06. This last year or two, has been extremely lonely. My kids said I need to get out and meet some one. I can't be a recluse forever. I have been in the Portland area, (Hillsboro) for over 17 years. Before that I lived in Southern Oregon, Medford, area for about 21 years. Before that we lived in Las Vegas for about 5 years. I don't mind going there for a visit, but would not want too live there again. Before that we lived in San Diego, in fact that is where I met my wife.

Since my wife passed away I have not decided if I will move or not! I like my little house and I am comfortable I recently turned 71 on April 10th, I am 6' 1" tall.. Of average build and somewhat active. I am just looking for a well rounded out woman to completely fill my life out! someone to whom I can talk too, Someone I can hold in my arms and take care of. Someone who can love me back. I guess what I miss the most is Pillow Talk, when ever Carole and I had a problem we could talk it through in bed. Even when we did not have a problem it was nice just to lay together in each others arms and talk, an talk till the wee hours of the morning. That is what I really miss...!

I work with the elderly and have noticed the happiest we're those who had good friends, family and lots of good memories. I am goal orientated and am a constant learner . I am a fun-loving humorous and spontaneous lady, who loves to travel. The traveling can be a weekend trek, or a nice long cruise. I am an attractive, Christian, single woman that is bright, fun, active, self-caring kind, passionate. I am semi-retired, as I enjoy business interaction, so I am still employed. As many, I love the outdoors, the beach, gardening, dancing, travel, volunteering, exercising, etc. I adore my Grandson and family that live near the Beach, so I am lucky enough to walk on the sand and enjoy the salt air often.

I tend to see life from a positive perspective - enjoying the gift of the day and helping others in small and large ways. Not polyana but I just see the glass half full - opportunities each day. Sometimes all it takes is a kind smile to brighten someones day. I am not into gossip or criticism. I try to focus on improving myself and let others address their own growth/development. I am always always willing to help when asked for my support. I just do not feel I should be judging the decisions of others. I tend to be a bit of a romantic ( love the music of the 50's - 70's.)- I like to surprise her and have impromptu day trips - just getting up and going to the beach -even if it is rainy that day :). I am a person who likes to please others - just do. Although I somewhat denied it during my younger days, I have a pretty strong empathy for the challenges of others. I grown to value this gift. I am an open and giving person. I love to play golf but have not played in a few years. I go to the gym most days of week to stay in shape and have been doing Hatha yoga for about 20 yrs- not many guys in it but I would recommend it to them. This past winter I spent time in Arizona and warmer climates in the winter time are very nice! I was born and raised in Spokane, moved to the Bay Area and lived on the Peninsula for 30 plus years before moving to Oregon. I enjoy watching sports including auto racing, pro football, baseball, basketball and I want to learn to flyfish and play golf.

What makes me a great partner?
