Some of the highlights of my life as a an adult are traveling the Dalmation coastline dining on calamari, singing in the Salzburg Cathedral, swimming in the Adriatic and Mediterranean, visiting the Bohemian countryside in S. Czech Republik, sipping coffee in small cafes of Paris, visiting the Zwinger Gallery in Dresden, and back at home, hiking the Columbia Gorge trails, singing with the Oregon Symphony, spending time with my daughters. I enjoy hiking, bicycling, canoeing, swimming in lakes and mountain streams, would love to take up tennis again. I have been content being single but would prefer to share these and other activities with a loving partner who enjoys the beauty of nature and quietness, and occasional live concerts and theater.

I always find it hard to describe me. I always think the best way to find out about a person is to meet and talk. I consider myself attactive and outgoing, but that all depends on what you are looking for. For me I am looking for someone who likes to laugh and have fun with life. Various qualities attract me to people and sometimes there is a special quality that i will pick up on that stirs my interest. I do feel it is necessary to have comman interests. I am self employed. I have a wide range of interests from something so simple as sitting on the couch and reading or watching a movie to traveling abroad and experiancing the culture and history of other countries. I am a big animal lover and have 3 dogs whom I adore. Love the beach, trying new restaurants or recipes at home, walking trails, anything on or near the water. Almost always up for new adventures, ziplined last year in Hawaii and LOVED it!! I love to laugh and the sunshine! I like to do volunteer work when my schedule allows. While I do not attend church every week, I am a christian and have christian values.

It is very hard for me to describe myself in a paragraph. I am fun, try to stay fit, love my kids first but my dogs a close second, generally happy with my life.

I am in excellent health, all the joints work, and none have been replaced or need to be. Same with my teeth. I am an easy going well rounded, articulate, intelligent person. I had a very successful career in the public and private sectors and have taught briefly in academia. I had a wonderful second marriage to a great woman, who died at the end of November, 2009 . I'm now getting on with my life. I am a very active person; play golf, tennis, take long walks, especially in natural wooded areas and at the beach where I have a place to do so. I keep myself fit and my weight is what it was when I played football in high school. I love most kinds of music, but am partial to classics, good musicals from the 30s through the 70s, the great R and B hits of the 70s and 80s, and operas. I subscribe to two theater companies, and go to the Symphony and other theaters on an ad hoc basis. Am a pretty decent cook and I enjoy making special dinners for friends or one on ones. Watch very little TV, prefer a good book or one of the several publications I subscribe to. Do crossword or other word type puzzles to keep my brain sharp. I try to enjoy life to the fullest.
