While an active person I am not one who needs to be in constant motion. I enjoy “hanging out”, watching movies, sitting by the fire sharing and cuddling (bonus points if you have one!), taking walks and hikes, going to local theater or live music, cooking together or sharing a meal, and driving to the coast.
I love to laugh and have learned to bring humor into even the most serious aspects of my work. Intense work at times (when at the hospital), but I have found a way to navigate this in new and creative ways. My work at my studio is a process of reawakening creativity in others. An amazing journey to witness as it focuses on living in and for the moment and opening to possibilities! Even though trained in Western medicine I have always been drawn to alternative methods of healing, thus prefer to prescribe creativity rather than medications.
I have volunteered my time over the years, coordinating volunteers to build houses with Habitat, working on health care reform, and providing support to Katrina survivors. I would love to find a fellow traveler who is also aware/involved with environmental, social, or political issues.
