I lift weights a couble times a week, but iI am not addicted to working out. I have been single a long time and time is up. I would like someone to be my best friend, partner, lover and I would be the same to him. my dog has no interest when I say "look at that sunset, or wow, lots of stars tonight" I want to hold hands and all the stuff best friends and lovers do.

I am trying to get back into shape but I really need a workout partner too. Everything is more fun together. I would go to the ballet with a girl friend if you have no interest. We can always work out any differences. Give and Take.
I love to garden, but I think life is a 2 person deal. I cannot stay on top of the jungle that seems to pop up overnight.
This sums me up: skydiving in my 20's, learned to water ski in my 30's, snow ski in my 40's, and walked across 35 feet of hot coals in my 60's. I am mellowing now and enjoy reading, especially Clive Cussler.
I have 2 grandsons that light up my heart. One is here and one is in LA.

I am a very positive, caring person. I am always interested in improving myself and continually growing both mentally and spirtually. I love to read and I love to snuggle. I am a very affectionate person.

I like long power walks. I love to garden. I have a dozen plus large flower pots I plant with flowers every year. I laugh a lot, but am very passionate also. I am open to new things. (always thought ballroom dancing might be fun, but have not yet). Can't beat a dinner and movie for a evening date. Holding hands and frequent snuggling is required.Like family time.
The new year I will start training for the Portland Sharock 8K run in held in March.

I believe in living life to the fullest and enjoy taking the road less traveled. We live in a beautiful world and there is so much to enjoy - just look around! I hope to meet a man who has the same spirit of adventure and love of the outdoors that I have. I enjoy bike riding and evening walks, or the carefree feeling I get from sailing or riding my Honda scooter. Staying physically active is a must - no couch potato for me!

My friend Brad says to tell you that I’m beautiful, intelligent, financially secure, and most of all, not psycho. I don't think I’m beautiful, but he's my hair stylist so I think he has to say that. I am wicked smart, down-to-earth, kindhearted, loyal, sweet and very affectionate with the right guy. I love to cook, garden, travel, day hike, watch movies, try new restaurants (and old favorites), read and go to the beach. I am a huge football fan, especially college ball and the Seahawks. I am comfortable in formal wear, but prefer jeans and a t-shirt most of the time. I tend to be a bit shy and am more of a homebody than party girl, but going out is fun too. I have a demanding but really great job and work with some terrific people, many who are also good friends.

I have been separated since August 2009 and am still very good friends with my ex, but our relationship has been completely platonic for years. For legal and financial reasons, we have chosen not to divorce for now, but I would be willing to do so if it became an issue. There’s not a lot of baggage there and I am content being alone, but remember how wonderful it felt to be in a loving and committed relationship and would very much like to find that again.

A little about me....I am open and honest. I care about people and their feelings and want the same in return. A Christian life partner is crucial to me because it is so much a part of who I am and how I get through challenges in life. I love the water, my family, have four grandbabies and love them dearly.

I am an optimist and romantic. When I can help I feel like I should and usually do. Been at the same job for almost 24yrs. it suits me and I'm pretty good at it. Been in the same house for 26yrs, it's just about the way I want it. Was married for 15yrs, divorced 11, three kids all grown (the last one will be gone when the economy improves I hope)they are all very important to me and I am grateful that I'm in a position to help them. Politically I'm libertarian, but not opinionated, everyone has a right to their veiws and I'm good at agreeing to dissagree. A little more money would be nice but I can do most of what I want, I live within my means, debt sucks.

I enjoy being with family and friends, traveling, doing something to help others, being outdoors enjoying nature--flowers, the ocean, mountains, sunsets, sunny days. I try to notice the beauty of nature in everyday activities.

I am grateful for having a successful career as an educator, but I'm enjoying retirement now--spending time pursuing those passions mentioned above.

I value my friendships and appreciate sharing fun experiences with friends, whether it is just going for a coffee break or doing a special activity. I am a good listener, and my friends know they can talk with me about anything. I am optimistic--always believe that there are approaches to meeting challenges--whether large or small. I care about the well-being of others and enjoy volunteer activities. I am addicted to a cup of coffee in the morning and reading the newspaper.

I moved to Portland 6 months ago, and I'm enjoying many new opportunities in the area: Dragon Boat Paddling (I hope to be ready to be on a race team by the Rose Festival!), ushering with the Portland Center for the Performing Arts; taking a class at PSU, membership at the Portland Art Museum, and participating in a new yoga class.
