Thank you for looking at my greeting. I am a hard working Mom and Grandmother who also loves to play. I love the outdoors, white water rafting, skiing and sailing my Lido.

This is a day sailer that I can launch on my own but would prefer to have a partner to share the fun. In the winter I love to downhill ski...I love speed. Indoors I have many hobbies and love to watch sports, especially football. I warn you that I am a yeller. Otherwise I am a calm, level headed gal, which comes in handy as an Intensive Care Nurse

My faith is the most important aspect of my life. Knowing God's faithfulness and love, serving Him and those he sends me to is the goal of my life. I would like to share this with someone who is equally serious about the Lord.

My daughter and her new child, her fiance are the other three important people in my life. They are all living with me for a short time.

I'm an expat from Southern California whose glad I finally got tired of the concrete and grind and moved to Portland--with it's 40 shades of green. I'm an active person who loves to travel, be outdoors, have a good meal with a friend, or just go on a long walk with a friend. Veracious reader but love to watch a good movie or play. In addition, Portland music and coffee are amazing!

I like the outdoors, I like the indoors. I like the beach and the mountains. I'm not much into cooking, its more fun with someone. I like to read, almost everyday. I think I'm easy going and sweet, my friends will tell you that.

I think one good thing about me is that I have plenty fo time to give anybody. I was able to retire at the end of 2008. These days I do volunteer work regularly. I enjoy doing things outdoors like fishing and and boating and riding my motorcyle on long rides around the country enjoying Oregon. I enjoy movies, fine dining and pretty much any new adventure that comes up.

I was raised in an affluent Irish Catholic home, but have lived and learned to maneuver in an extremely wide array of social strata. I mingle easily with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and circumstances. I grew up in southern California during the unrest of the 60's, and have preferred a simple, down-to-earth lifestyle throughout adulthood.

Organic whole food, natural medicine and sustainable alternatives are second nature to me. I prefer herbal tea to coffee, and rarely drink alcohol or eat sugar. I raised dairy goats for 15+ years, and was a vegetarian for 25, but now eat meat and eggs from grass-fed animals. I tend to gravitate to raw foods and lower carbs.

In the 70's, I started a daily meditation and yoga practice. I have always sought to understand and experience the nature of consciousness. I love God and Truth. I am drawn to the mystical, and am currently quite fascinated with the ancient Jewish roots of early Christianity. Buddhist also resonates with me.

I am adventurous, playful, fun-loving and loyal. I am quite an outside-the-box thinker, and lean toward traditionally conservative values.

I like to a go camping " cooking ' I like to play on my hand drums ' music gardening ' I like rock hounding ' walking on the beach " looking at the stars at night ' snuggling in front of the fire place ' walking around a river bank ' taking trips & a good conversation'

I am a nice guy. Everybody tells me that, and I try to live my life in a way that supports those assertions. I am kind, gentle, and intelligent. I have a great sense of humor, and genuinely enjoy helping people. I believe that it is what’s inside a person that matters, not what they look like. I have two girls, one in college and one starting college next year. They live with their mother, when not at school, so I do not get to see them much.
I enjoy watching some sports, but it is not an obsession with me. An occasional football game (Seahawks or Ducks), and sometimes a Blazer game, are usually about it. Socially, I enjoy playing card/board games, watching movies, or just conversing with people. I am not into the bar scene, or “partying” at all. Nor do I play head games, or lie about things. I quit smoking 16 years ago, so I know what it is like for those who do smoke. I do not drink either. But, that is my choice, and I do not judge others who do. I am a pretty down to earth guy and try to live by the golden rule.

I am married, in name only. I like diversity, cuddling, and feeling special.

I was born in Los Angeles and lived in that area until 1970 when I arrived in Portland with a husband and my first born son. Love it here!
I like my home to be clean and attractively decorated and take great pride in that accomplishment. Lately, it's a little more of a challenge since I acquired a darling puppy about 8 months ago which includes keeping track of her toys and her! She's a Lhasa Apso/poodle mix - champagne color and quite cute!

I am hoping to find a good travel partner and perhaps a life partner. I know it is not easy to find that certain someone. If it were, we wouldn't be here! I have many friends, both male and female whom I appreciate very much. I have a few miles on me (which have provided "character") and a certain amount of wisdom to take myself and others sincerely, but not so seriously. I am also aware that a realIy good relationship takes time. I will not "jump" into something. I continue to learn and grow in this vast and intriguing world of ours. I love being outdoors, I am a pretty good artist, and I'm smart and inventive. I enjoy going dancing a couple times a week. I am a retired public school teacher with my own successful business and I volunteer at elementary schools helping children read.

Hi. I like to laugh, read, see quality films and have new experiences. I have a good part time job that allows me a certain measure of freedom. Ah.

You'll find I'm a pretty normal woman. I grew up in the NW from Van BC to Portland and in between, I have family and friends who are close and I value them greatly. I live a casual life love my jeans and a t shirt but I can clean up. I am partially retired from a long career in healthcare IT, but ready and able to go all the way when the time is right.

I love travel and have been to many places in Europe, Greece, Turkey, Guatemala and Vietnam. I have a bucket list still waiting. I've never seen the Grand Canyon!! The light houses of the east coast interest me. A warm sun in the midst of NW rain is attractive.

I love the arts, my passion is live theater and music of most any kind. . Being outdoors, in the garden, day hiking along a river or water source brings me joy and renews me. I don't golf, I seem to have trouble hitting the ball, gave up skiing but enjoy snow shoeing. I have an adventuresome spirit and other then jumping from a plane or off a cliff would be up for a try at most things.

I am quiet until you get to know me and in new situations but get comfortable quickly. If you have read "The 5 Love Languages" physical touch is my primary language. An intimate physical and emotional relationship is a must.

Hmmm, I'm up for most anything, have had many hobbies over the years. I like to stay in shape, have been cross-fitting for about 4 years, but have recently discovered yoga.. BUT, life should be the biggest passion. I'm easy to be around (I think).

Instrumental and choral music were my passions in life until not that long ago when various life changes forced me to stop performing/playing. I was an active space advocate and was part of the group that wrote and support into passage a bill in congress that enabled the creation of the launch industry that is the direct reason why we enjoy satellite tv, cell phones, etc. I served our country in the USAFA and have a BS

lived in oregon all my life commercial fished for 22 years and worked in construction for 10 mostly out of statemissed out on meeting women, now working for trimet as a power supply electrician for trains and since they run all day and evening i work graveyard, im kind of shy at first, i like anything outdoors, all kinds of music, window shopping and of course the ocean im kind considerate and have a great sense of humor sometimes not politically correct

Oh I am not the all American boy :). I wasn't even born here (where? where women glow and men thundah). My direct ethnic heritage is Southern Slav. I have been exposed to traveling at a young age. That changes your view of the world. What am I like? You can tell probably that I have a sense of humor. I am quite respectful of others, honest, passionate (yes really I am).

However for those with very strong opinions I will not waste your time in further reading -

I have liberal views. Liberal views as in Northern Europe, Australia or Canada. That comes from the combination of travel and life experience. I have visited behind the iron curtain when there was one. Trust me on this - being conservative was the rule. The alternative could be unpleasant for not only you but your entire extended family as well. Yes I did have party members (informants)in my family there too. Conservatives here I find have much in common :).

Religion - I was raised Eastern European Catholic - that makes anything here in the USA look liberal in comparison. I am now an Agnostic :)

If you are still reading - you will notice Im quite upfront :) I have numerous and diverse interests. Trying to have fun is the key.

Recently moved to Oregon to be near my adult children. Thought I would try this site to find a new friend. Love exploring the great outdoors, taking photos, being creative and walking my schnauzer. I am average - not slim - like moderate activity - don't do gyms anymore. I am smart, social, well traveled, enjoy good food, wine, beer and drinks. Love to dance and listen to music. I don't get jazz or too much classical. I don't watch TV. I love movies of all kinds - well not horror. Reading is a huge hobby. I am an accountant by day and a crafter by night. I like board games especially scrabble and most card games. Real old school. Add the four-twenty, hippie flavor of the 60's and 70's and that';s me.

Mostly urban adventurer enjoys walking, yoga, dancing, theater, world music, farmers markets, cooking, lifelong learning, public radio, volunteer projects, singing in a community choir. I have my own business, was raised Jewish (in the Midwest), am more spiritual than religious. I am seeking new ventures in my (part-time) working life as well as a loving, supportive relationship.
