I come from a large family, the quiet one of the bunch. I have been blest with the best. My journey has been quite the one....My faith is very important to me. I have been a single parent for eleven years and have a beautiful daughter, still at home and attends college. I love animals, traveling near or far. It is my turn to go and have a little fun and meet some nice people.

I consider myself to be a fun loving, sincere, dependable, trustworthy person with a good sense of humor. Going to sporting events, the theater , dining out or exploring new places is what I like to do. But I would also be happy sitting at home watching a movie with the right person.

Thank you for viewing my profile! I am easy going, like to laugh, and consider myself to be a very honest, nice, sincere and sensitive person. Additionally I feel that I am reasonably intelligent, fairly well educated, and very analytical.

After obtaining my Ph.D. in High Energy Physics, I taught physics for 25 years; first in the Boston, MA area (where I got my Ph.D.), and then here in RI. Although officially "retired", my current "at home" job entails studying and trading foreign currencies ("FX market").

I try to keep myself in reasonable shape by doing walking and weight training. I enjoy driving and the outdoors, particularly the ocean, woods, and sand dunes. Oh yes: although I am a very honest and "open" person, I am also still quite shy; this makes it harder for me to meet women :-(

Although I did not list "Music" as an "interest", I have very high musical aptitudes and hence enjoy it very much!

I have one cat, "Alpha" (named after the first letter in the Greek alphabet), whom I "adopted" from an animal shelter 14 years ago, after my first adopted cat ("Kushka") of nearly 7 years sadly had to be put to sleep due to cancer :-( Having these two cats has made me very empathetic to all animals.

Well everybody knows this is probably the hardest part, so here goes.
I am a compassionate, caring person. I am also sensitive, and a romantic at heart.
I respect not only woman but people in general. I believe you should treat people the way you want to be treated. You get what you give...
Ok, now I know I'm a little short and maybe a little shy at first, face to face, but I think I have a big heart, so why not take a chance.

I'm not sure if this is a blessing or a curse but I'm a very independent person! But I would love to meet someone to share experiences with; someone to have a good conversation with or to just enjoy each others company with no words. I love to laugh, enjoy get-togethers with family & friends, reading, walking, dancing, horses, dogs & cats, the NE Patriots, movies and music, & the wind blowing through my hair.

I'm a life long learner. I take every opportunity to learn something new. My passion is family - the good and the bad. There is nothing better than a family dinner with all of us around the table sharing the day/week's topics.
I love the ocean and yes long walks along the shore or even sitting on a blanket listening to the waves meeting the shore. There is so much power in the water but yet the foam of a crashed wave makes a soft fizzing sound as it rolls back to the sea.

I'm fun loving and independent. My favorite activities are dancing, going for walks, going to the movies and plays, and traveling to new places.

I am an attractive woman who does not want to live the kind of life where I am just barely hanging on. I just don't want to merely eke out an existence. I do not want to forever fear, be insecure or be uncertain about the man in my life. I long for the closeness, the connection, the affirmation that who you are is good and desirable. We all have to do things we don't want to do. Part of being successful in life means doing things we would rather not......when we do things we don't like simply because we know we need to do them, it builds character in us. It makes us disciplined....I love to live life without confusion or mental oppression. Instead I would prefer having clarity and knowledge in my life. I want to live life with purpose and on purpose

Hi, thanks for reading my profile, here goes. My parents raised me rite.I love my family and friends. I live with my daughter( althought i hardly ever see her).im proud of the man ive become.i have a job i lke and live near the water.I dont think thiers anything cooler than doing something for your family.I have a great group of crazy friends.I like to stay active and im usually up for anything.I really like being around the water.a weekend on the cape, matunuck, galilee, the islands .waterfire, a good fire surrounded by friends and family.i do like to cook , but cooking for one is the pits.barbequing is even better.outdoor concerts, flea markets, (i can shop).I root for all Boston teams and hate the yankees.I try to go to a couple of games a year.A good restaurant, rock, jazz blues and country, and im not afraid of the dance floor.Im most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, but will dress up.....

I m very family oriented....my twin daughters mean the world to me of course. Two of my passions are golf and hockey. I like to laugh and have fun.

I like old movies and new, to go on trips, both day and also vacations to different states.I like live shows like the Phantom of the Opera, eating out, discussings books, etc I don't smoke and very seldom drink, a beer now and then, although I have recently tried different wines, like most kinds of music. I will add to be honest, I'm presently doing chemotherapy, very well with it, no bad effects, I have a lot of enerngy, and now in remission, I plan another trip to Vegas in the fall. I fully understand this therapy could be a turnoff, but some I have contacted and dated don't have a problem with it, but I realize some people have had family with this problem and could bring back tough memories, sincerely Dick.
