I feel like none of us have much time to devote to building relationships. The dating I've done since my break up has felt really frenzied; almost desperate. I'm lookin' to slow things down a bit and NOT jump into something so quickly. Folks in our age group still have a lot of time for adventure especially if we keep ourselves fit. I want to find someone who is also experiencing this and wants to change it and slow things down in order to really get to know one another. That being said, I am here to meet someone and not here to spend a whole lot of time chatting and texting. I understand the need to feel safe and a couple of chats to feel more comfortable with someone makes total sense. I love sharing adventures and affections and feel as though in life we should experience as much fun, pleasure and adventure as we can. I wish my circumstances allowed me to dedicate the time that I know it takes to build a true relationship. If you are looking for a serious relationship right outta the box, right now... I enjoy movies, eating out, events, live music venues, some outdoor activities, amusement parks, going the beach (nothing better), etc. I'm not afraid to try anything. Love going to eh beach and always find this is the most relaxing. There are also times I just enjoy staying home with someone and enjoying a good movie or TV show. I'm a social drinker but not into going out and partying all the time; been there and have done that before. I've been told I'm easy to talk to and have a great personality so I guess that's a good thing! :-) I like to laugh, have fun but know when to be serious. If you want a nice gentlemen, treats you with respect, then drop me a line. I'm an affectionate person and like it in return. I do believe that there has to be a mutual attraction between two people and a connection. I'm honest and open with my feelings and not afraid to answer any questions. I'm a good cook, do my own laundry, press off my own clothes, etc. very self-efficient. If you want to know something, just ask but there are times you might not always like an honest answer. Enjoy working out about 5 times a week and take pride in trying to look my best. I do travel for work so hopefully you can be tolerant of that.

I consider these my main traits: easy-going, cheerful, intelligent, open & honest, caring & gentle, youthful in looks & spirit. A high level of curiosity is something I like about myself & appreciate in others. I love to travel, esp. to foreign countries, & to learn new things.

I'm currently enjoying a happy, healthy, & active retirement. I visit my kids & grandkids in NY & SF 2-3 times a year. Also have an annual reunion with my brother & sister, always in a new location.

In Austin, I dance 2-3 times a week (swing, tango, ballroom, country & western, etc.). It'd be great if you like to dance. If not, may I join you for biking or hiking? Or maybe tennis (I’d have to learn) or paddleball (maybe you could learn)?

I also like quiet pursuits—keeping up with world news, surfing the web, watching PBS (Nova, Frontline, Nature, Charlie Rose, and more)—and just thinking. Simple things excite me—an interesting conversation, a good movie, a new idea, talking to my kids & grandkids, hearing a great song, cooking & savoring a delicious meal. My latest passion is learning to play piano. I'm also teaching myself Chinese.

Other activities include volunteer teaching, & supporting efforts to have real science taught in public schools.

I enjoy travel and have several trips planned for the future. Im honest, reliable, enjoy company. Also like quiet times. Money is important as far as I have enough to live comfortably anddo the things I want to do. I was an RN who worked weekends in surgery. As of February I am now retired. More time to play and travel. Like to dance.

A Harvard professor's study concluded that some of the predictors of successful aging are "joy in living" and humor. For me this would be worldwide travel and being a community service volunteer. Both give me a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. Humor lifts our spirits; being able to laugh at myself, foibles and all, helps me to thrive. My friends would likely say that I am kind, positive, energetic, fun-loving, idependent, and look younger than my age. Integrity, honesty, reliability, and responsibility are values important to me. I believe in the Christian God; "treat others as you would like to be treated" is a teaching I follow. I'd like to meet an intelligent Christian guy who shares these values. Personal growth is a lifelong goal for me. I'm a lifetime learner. I also live a healthy lifestyle that includes a healthy diet and exercise.

I enjoy travel - worldwide and the US. Learning about the culture, history, and people is interesting to me. Other activities that I enjoy: hiking, snorkeling, sailing, yoga, dancing, astronomy, movies (including foreign films), live music (including the symphony), gardening, being with family and friends. I'd like to learn kayaking - being in nature is fun!

Comfortable in my own skin, close to my amazing family. Great buddies, a great job. I like my life. It would be nice to have someone special, Sitting in front of a crackling fire on a cold evening, (forget that part, it never gets cold here) early morning time, rides on my harley in hill country, singing off key and laughing with someone you care about.(discounting what my brothers think, I do not sing off key!).

I am looking for someone to share the rest of my life with. When I give my love I give it all. Sometimes life puts road blocks in your way but it is up to you to come out the other side better.
Things I like in live: Being with family and friends, Being outdoors, Camping, Fishing, Hunting, the ocean and lake, Dancing, Movies, Dinner out or in with someone special. Car shows, Car races, Rodeo, and the list goes on. There is not much in live I dont like but maybe the kid in the car next to me with the bass so loud that I think something is wrong with my car !!! I am very easy going and want no drama in life it is to short for that.

I retired last year after 42 years in the workforce. I have a close knit family of siblings and relatives. My church family is very dear to me and am very active in my church, . I am fluent in English and Spanish I consider myself to be a warm, loving, caring, compassionate person, a good listener, easy to get along with, and enjoy having intellectual conversations about many things.I enjoy reading mostly non-fiction books. Though I haven't gone to the movie theater lately, I enjoy seeing movies and going out to eat. My daughter and I are season holders with Broadway Across America and enjoy the musicals that are presented at the PAC center and Long Center. Spending time with family and friends is something I enjoy very much. If you are looking for a dance partner, I am not your match. By choice, I do not dance.

I am a Messianic Hebrew who is truly a homemaker. I love everything about making a home, cooking, decorating, gardening, crocheting, and diy projects (have built my own shop, twice.) I have managed a local soup kitchen and run a sober living home for women (though I am not 'in recovery'.) Currently I have been learning to use a vintage knitting machine designing scarves, shawls etc with an Israel theme that I hope to market.
Camping, RVing, tubing all things I enjoy doing with the right person. Love roaming in small towns checking out local food and shops.

My main passion is to spread God's love to a hurting world. I am also an artist and just love to meet new people. I guess I feel the most fulfilled when I can help others-I enjoy outreaches where I can pass out food and clothes to people that have need of those things and just spread some joy to them. I really just want to make this world a better place so I hope I can continue to serve and do my part in that.
