Hi there. Is hard to share about yourself when not really talking to a particular person so I'll pretend I am: I'm an independent woman who enjoys running, writing and socializing with small groups of people. A little about me... I am a fun-loving, hard-working woman. I am devoted, supportive, touchy-feely. I love to laugh, have fun, discover. I consider myself on the classy side with a tender heart.

I have reinvented myself over the past eight years. My faith is very important to me. Outside of that realm, I'm not being true to myself. My children and grandkids are the loves of my life. After the loss of my husband nine years ago and the graduation of my sons, I became a realtor and worked in that industry for three years. I still inactively hang on to that license (you never know). Three years ago I completed cosmetology school and continue to learn. After all, when you learn a new trade in your 50's, you have to make up for lost time! :) I visit kids/grandkids as often as possible.

It seems that most of us know what we are looking for. As a result, after a few emails, I usually prefer to meet over coffee early in the process and settle the chemistry question. Unfortunately it really is somewhat of an interview process but then life can return to normal and the fun can begin!

I used to play a lot of tennis but now I really like golf. I'm the CFO of a large non-profit in South Austin. I have a nephew who is severely disabled. a qaudriplegic, and he is my teacher. He often says, "you walking people, how dare you complain." I try to keep that perspective. to live in gratitude while being productive, combining cutting edge science, writing, communication — with hope and inspiration. would love to make new memories with a best friend, lover, permanent partner in which we accept and inspire each other, while making each other feel solidly safe. I like listening to Pavarotti as I sip a glass of red wine and dream. I like the feel of a real book as opposed to a Nook. Paperbacks are not real books. Long walks with my dog. Central Texas sunrises. 5K's in the spring and fall. Camping and counting stars. Watching chick flicks with my mom. Bargain shopping at my favorite resale shops with a friend. Baking for friends and family. Date nights with my two sons. Live music and country western dancing. Politics and church on a very regular basis and both as topics of civilized conversation!

I am playful, pretty, sparkling and smart. I am strong, wise and independent. I am squared away with four great kids grown, and on their way. I have wonderful friends and love my family.

I'm active - am a strong downhill skier, water skier, and rider, (both bike & horse). Fitness matters to me and I enjoy yoga, pilates or weights, walking or riding, and working in the yard. I am hope to take up golf again, and played a lot of tennis in the past.

I love theater, & art museums as much as a wonderful outdoor concert with picnic! I enjoy the country and the country club, to dress up or dress down, to be casual and sometimes to be formal.

I can handle a lot of details and love planning interior spaces. Structure and organization comes easy for me and I am a
little bit of a planner.... with that said, wisk me away and we will have a ton of fun, as long as I have my cosmetics. ;-)

I do need some quiet time for my spirituality. I enjoy reading and pray & meditate regularly. From time to time I enjoy an artistic retreat to focus on my photography. Being outdoors, especially in wide open spaces excites me.

The things I know about myself: I am happy, creative, not the best cook, I eat too many cookies, I really enjoy going to outdoor activities , music, festivals, etc... I am big on sandy beaches and the ocean, or putting the anchor out and floating on the water. I like to go to plays, and travel, and enjoy friends.

My travels have taken me to many interesting places domestically & internationally, and I have developed quite a fascination with people because of it. I enjoy biographies, history, art & comedy. I like most types of music, especially jazz, classic rock & roll, blues & some classical. I appreciate the ‘Live Music Capital’ scene, but mostly only go to clubs to hear specific artists. I work in fashion, so most of the time I dress casually chic, but when I do dress up I look killer. I’m a good cook & cook frequently, but when I get sick of it, honey, I am going out to a great restaurant (think Roaring Fork or the Four Seasons).

My hobbies include swimming, walking, traveling, saltwater fishing and anything to do with art…..painting original pieces, going to exhibits, photography, pottery/sculpture…pretty much the whole gambit. I love visiting Europe and would love to see as much of the world as possible.
