I am a well rounded person. My favorite sports are baseball and soccer. I enjoy movies and believe they are best when shared with a friend. I have tickets to the Dallas Symphony and the WaterTower Theater in Addison. Every summer I go to OKMozart concert in Oklahoma. Dancing is great! I go Country, West Coast, Square Dancing, Contra, and Scotch Country Dancing. It's fun to travel to dance conventions. I love my old Mustang, and I actually helped restore it. Surprise! I am pretty handy with most tools. Travel is terrific, and the last two years I have been to India, Dubai, Maine, Massachusetts, Cozumel, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman. In Maine I fished. Trout fishing is my favorite especially in the mountains. My favorite hike in Dallas is White Rock Lake. I also have two kayaks that are fun on the lake. Listening to any music is wonderful. Dallas has so many venues now. I adore dressing up and going to fancy restaurants. I enjoy art and lectures. I read, and my favorite author is Bernard Cornwell.

I am a retired teacher and have taught in five different towns in Texas. I have moved a lot in my life. I also write children's books. There are five fantastic grandchildren in my life. I love animals, but currently have no pets.

I have a passion for cooking, but don't get enough opportunities to cook these days. I grew up helping my Dad in the garage and developed a love of cars. Attending drag races or enjoy an afternoon at a car show is right up my alley. I love music and finding live music acts is always fun. Gotta say Country music is my favorite, but I don't listen to it exclusively. I'll listen to a variety of music from all genres, except rap. I'm also an avid reader, and will read most anything. I was raised and lived, for a long time, in a very small town and my values and beliefs are based upon that upbringing. If a person gives you their word or shakes your hand..you can take it to the bank. Honesty, integrity and respect are my life and I would like to find someone that believes the same. I'm also a big history buff. You know, one of those people that actually likes to stop and read the historic plaques on the side of the road. Old architecture is also fascinating to me. Traveling the back roads, taking in the countryside and visiting all the off beat places between here and where ever is a blast.

Life is best when shared with your one and only. I don't smother, but enjoy being together and staying active. Simple things like grocery shopping, cleaning the house, making the bed together. Dancing, sports, concerts, family gatherings, drives with the top down or cuddling on the couch with a chick flick.

My friends (only the good ones) tell me that I am handsome and have a good sense of humor. Work out at the gym on a daily basis, although, I do have exercise equipment at home. Have several hobbies which includes classic cars, music (in my younger days performed with my brothers in a traveling talent show "Music Unlimited" only know throughout NE Ohio), perform unique customization of watches and high performance engines. Enjoy dancing, movies, eating out, hiking, lakes, reading, some TV and actually many other interests.

Have enjoyed being married and would love to try it again. Kindness and sharing are a key attribute and enjoy being a gentleman and treating a woman with respect. If you do not like a man attending to your chair in a restaurant, helping you with your coat and opening your doors I may not be your match. I derive a great deal of pleasure treating a lady with respect (the right lady).

Without sounding boring, my passions are being in the company of my sons, my sisters, my sweet Dad, and my wonderful friends. I love cooking, (Food Network Nerd) wine, entertaining, My love for the water/boating stems from Table Rock Lake ( Branson, MO) where I was raised and water skied everyday when I was growing up to South Florida where I lived and had my last boat. I love riding horses, making people laugh really laugh, finding homes for helpless animals, playing tennis, running, yoga and the simple greatness of everyday. I am in Sports Marketing and was in Media for over 24 years prior. I was raised in the country and still love being outdoors...or on a committee for a gala. I am down to earth by heart, but have lived in Dallas for many years so enjoy the advantages of living in a wonderful city. My dogs live with me and are very easy to get along with after they know you or you have given them gifts ( treats) both rescues.
