I am a 56 year old black male. Has worked over 31 years in Healthcare in Environmental Service. Worked in other areas of Healthcare. Attend Church weekly and I am a Christain. I grew up on a small Texas ranch. Retired in 2005 from a career in commercial insurance. I loved my career but love retirement more. I live one block from the country club and play golf 3 to 5 times a week on average. I don't have pets but do love animals, I am allergic to cats.

I have a traditional streak - home and family are important to me. I like being firmly embedded in my social groups and I feel deeply responsible for just about everyone around me. I can be fiercely protective of those I love. I am told I have a bubbly personality and that I am a bit fiesty and spunky - lol. I am kind, considerate and very affectionate. I love music; I enjoy watching sports, especially basketball; I enjoy gardening, movies, travel. I also like the little festivals that small towns offer. Most of all, I am honest and not a game player.

Hi, well a little about me is that I work for a non-profit organization in Dallas/Mesquite area to help females 12 and up with drug and alcohol problems and I love it.I get to see the before and after and it makes me feel...ahhhh! And so I'm an honest, caring, loving, nurturing, giving, joyful, outdoorsy, humorous, love walking, camping, boating, going to spas together, spontaneous.I haven't tried this yet BUT, I would love to sky-dive.I love men who can make me laugh with him.

Enjoy going to bingo once in a while. I'm not going to move to another location, have just gotten to the point in my life where I will be helping my parents.I have had long distance romance and it is not always easy to do. Right now I would not be able to put the time that is needed for a long distance courtship. Could be pen pals in that case.
I still have several years before retirement which with Gods help I will make it. I would love to be able to do it now but you know how that is. Spring time everything is blooming and the Earth looks so new and bright.

I absolutely love to travel and experience new cultures and people. I am a middle school science teacher and enjoy what I do. People tell me that I am reserved, but fun once you get to know me better. I am in this life to try to make it a little better place than I found it. I try to have a project going in which I work with someone who needs me - generally tutoring children who are struggling. I enjoy a long weekend in New York with some great theater (which I try to do at least once a year), or camping trip to Big Bend (which I also do once a year). I have two wonderful grown children who are married, self-supporting, and successful in their chosen fields. They have been the joy of my life and we are extremely close. I have two grandchildren who are the NEW joys of my life.

I began dating when my last child went off to college in 1995, remarried in 1998. I lost my husband in 2008. I love retirement and the freedom to pursue any opportunity I think I might enjoy. I like walking nature trails and camping, taking senior classes at Collin College, and planning my own travel destinations. What I think makes me a great partner is self confidence, authenticity and a good listener. I consider myself to be a strong woman who is nurturing and supportive.

I work with special needs kids. I was married 45 years to someone I met in HS. I am very simple. I enjoy sitting on the bank fishing, movies, going out to dinner, sitting on a porch talking.
