My felines are very important to me because of the reason I do it.This is NOT a plea for sympathy, but rather an explanation for things that guide me in what I do. In 1996 I lost a granddaughter to a form of bacterial meningitis. Certainly, this loss of my granddaughter was not happening. But it was and did. The are images we all have burned into our psyche. For me it was saying goodbye to that precious baby and then holding my son and his wife.This act by my son and his wife was as brave an act as I can ever remember.
These things change us, hopefully for the better. I felt a need to leave a legacy for her that she was not able to do. I have spoken on behalf of Donor Organ Transplantation and began my effort in fostering cats and kittens. Since this all began, I have fostered many felines and my youngest child, a son, has received a kidney transplant. I work in my church food pantry as well. It's all about life. Savor it always.

I’ve been fortunate to be able to live comfortably and I try to give back through my work at a non-profit and various philanthropic activities. Though my work is important to me and can be quite demanding, I think I've found a good balance between work and the rest of life. One of the ways I find that balance is with travel - recent destinations include South America, Switzerland, South and East Africa. And as a born/bred Irish, I still love the city – museums, concerts or just walking around.

Most of it has been great, and some of it not so great. My children are all grown up and we are all very close and great friends. They are more like friends most of the time, except when I need them to take care of chores for me around the house. All they want for me is to be Happy. I am a citizen of the world, with so many interests that I have a hard time getting enough time to do them all. Always a trade off. I am intelligent, well read, well educated, polite, social, decent looking, and value honesty. I am crazy, a wild child, dance till ya drop, got cowboy boots and big time suits. Can hang with any one on any topic (even if I have to fake it) and just love a good challenge. I can cook, clean, remodle, ride a horse, drive a fast car or airplane, I don't scare easily. Water Sking, Snow Sking, 100 mile bike rides, photography, art, fine cuisene, fine wine, travel (I never make reservation unless absolutely necessary), flying a kite, grandchildren, movies, and just plain old hanging out with friends and family. (that can be REALLY interesting with my bunch) Get the idea. Life at full throttle, and never ever let the hammer up because life is chasing you and it's catching up.

And at the end of day someone to share the adventures that two people bring to the table not just one. Hugely more fun.
