I am passionate about motor racing I race vintage cars and work on them, I love dogs (have 2), I travel overseas frequently. I have a 'British' sense of humor, love people, enjoy social activities. I am socially aware however non affiliated politically, my views are more to the left than conservative, although liberal and conservative labels I find are generally nonsense. I do not enjoy being with people who take themselves too seriously. I have no specific religion although I was brought up a Christian in the UK, however organized religion of all denominations generally I find incompatible with the way I live my life.
I work for myself and enjoy the freedom that brings. A balance of work and other important things in life are essential for me.

I am a very blessed lady to have a wonderful family and a 25 year career that is more like ministry work than like a job. I love to laugh, socialize, garden, travel and spend quality time at home with a good movie and my little dog. My name is rodney, the son of a Banker , was born on 5th March , 1957 in a small city (Holbrook)in Massachusetts..I attended St Mary's Primary School at 5 and later continued by Thomas V Nash Primary School..My father died when i was in my adulthood , things weren't that easy for myself and my mum since am the only child of my parents and it was my sole responsibility to care for my mum since my mum retired early after suffering a spinal cord problem from a accident.I graduated Moberly High School in 1976, i was an outstanding student , captain of the basketball .I then worked as a clerk so as to make ends meet for myself and mum at the Wabash Railway where I was encouraged by a friend of my Dad at Central Christian Church in Moberly , to take the common entrance examination for the U.S Military Academy at West Point, N.Y..I finished second in the placement exams(ASVAB test), but the first place winner was unable to accept the appointment, which was deferred to me Thats a little about me, i will want to know more about you.

I am a laid back kind of person, like to create things, to feed the artist side in me, whether it is gardening, or building houses or remodeling, woodworking. I am in the final few years of single parenting with my daughter, 14, who lost her mother to a stroke a year and half ago, My 2 boys already grown and moved on. My daughter's passion is horses, dressage and jumping horses so we travel to and fro horse shows and in between I am a caretaker of a 40 stall horse barn and Contractor/home remodeler. Somewhere in between all of this I would like to meet a lady who can be a friend first and foremost and one who enjoys the outdoors and my company. I am not looking for a surrogate mom for my daughter or to make anyone a stepmom. I am looking for female companionship to balance out my life aside from my daughter and hopefully share myself with someone who values a sweet guy with a big heart.

I'm not complicated- I like to laugh and make others laugh. Even at work, I think everyone needs to laugh and enjoy themselves. I have a strong work ethic which isn't hard when you love your job. When I'm not at work, I'm ready for just about anything. I have one adult daughter who lives with her husband and 4 y.o. daughter in a small town that's about an hour from me. The rest of my family lives in the Texas hill country. I like that my family is close enough to visit but far enough away to not "just drop in".

The passions in my life are my family, my friends, mother nature- for i truly enjoy all that she has to offer from swimming to fishing to taking a walk. I am a outdoor person so i spend a lot of time there. I am very simple person and try to make my life simple. I enjoy my job, I love to travel and do anything like festivals, state parks, events, concerts it would be easier to write what i don't like or do for there are few of those things. I love life and everything it has to offer each day. I believe i make a good partner for someone because of my moral believes, i am honest and respectful.
